So, went to preorder the Acela and the NEC and came across this gem in Steam. I just want 2 and I don't want to get this bundle. Is there an alternative or Should I just get the bundle because individually the route and the loco is probably more expensive if I don't bundle it? I get this is similiar to the TSC pricing, but I hated it there and doesn't make me hate it less here.
Check the post in the article discussion board. JD goes into how the steam pricing works. Basically the individual pricing hasn't been uploaded to steam yet. There is a graphic with all the prices in the other thread.
Here's the thread: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...nt-for-train-sim-world-3-february-21st.64825/ It's going to be cheaper for you to buy them sepreatly.
It looks like the prices for the bundle is cheaper than buying it seperately. The bundle is $53.99 but the seperate pack is $39.99 + $22.99, which works about to $56.69 assuming a 10% discount. This is the mainstay of TSC bundles. I have bought so much TSC bundles with routes I already own because it was cheaper than the individual parts. Its unfortunate that DTG decided to carry that pricing over to TSW as well.
I'll copy this post from JD from another post to save him a job (summary is wait for release day to get individual prices): Hey folks. Apologies if there's any confusion. This should hopefully help to clear up the questions in this thread. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...-sim-world-3-february-21st.64825/#post-602598 To confirm: the individual prices for the Add-ons are in the article on the graphic - there is currently an issue with Steam where it appears to be pulling the prices for individual pieces of content from the price of the lowest-cost bundle it appears in. You currently cannot purchase the individual content. We've raised with Valve to investigate. If you own Boston Sprinter or Sherman Hill already, the upgraded content is FREE, and will update before the 21st February in a pre-launch patch. Starter Packs and individual pieces of content (Trenton, Acela, UP Heritage) will be available on launch as individual items, on their respective Coming Soon pages.
