Hello all, just a quick question if anyone can help.... I bought the class 465 in TSW2 as a standalone DLC to use on Rush Hour. I now have TSW3 but cannot see the 465 anywhere. I do not have South Eastern high speed so presume that is why but surely I don't have to buy that route to get a train I have already paid for? Can anyone advise, presume its just me! Thanks
Wasn't the SEHS upgraded automatically if you purchased TSW3? I bought it to get CCL and it updated, I think the 465 now comes as part of it, or maybe not? Any DLC in TSW2 should be carried over though.
The 465 DLC is specific to TSW2 SEHS in TSW3 comes with the 465 rather than it being a standalone DLC for that version The license you bought for the 465 in TSW2 wasn't carried over to TSW3 so it's not "you have to buy it again", you've not got a license to use it in TSW3 - annoying, but that's the way it is.
Your issue here is that you don't own Southeastern Highspeed. As others have stated, the 465 was made specifically for SEHS in TSW 2, requiring it to work, and it shouldn't work at all without it. However, when Train Sim World 3 was released, the 465 was no longer a separate train, and became included with SEHS. It's because of this, that if you don't own SEHS, you can't use the 465 in TSW. This shouldn't be a problem, cause again, you're required to have SEHS for the 465 to work in TSW 2, but that's why it's not available to you in TSW 3.
Thanks for your replies all. Seems unfair to me given I bought it for the additional workings on Rush hour and could drive it on some user created scenarios but have now lost those rush hour services. I won't lose sleep over it though. Thanks all.
You brought it for TSW2, I assume it still works fine in TSW2?, was there ever a guarantee that legacy addons would work on future versions?
Unless you've lost access to the software you bought it for (TSW2) you've not "lost" anything. DTG decided not to apply that license forward (something I might disagree with) but you've not lost what you paid for
All pre-TSW3 loco add-ons clearly state the require a certain route to run on, on their Steam store page. I can't check the 465 page since TSW2 is no longer sold, but I assume it was no different. I also assume this policy, and the product descriptions, are the same on all platforms, but that's another thing I can't check.
Only for the tsw2 version. In the tsw3 version of sehs which is a free port for those who already have it in tsw2, it is included.
