In external view there is no driver in the Class 27.

Is it just my installation, or do others have this problem? Checked the manual, and there is nothing to click on to show the driver in external view like on the Smokebox locomotives. In the Steam listing for the Class 27, the external view images show a driver. Right now, the Class 27 looks like a ghost train in external view...lol

    ... he's there. :)

Maybe you have started the "Carlisle Connection". It uses the non-driver version of the 27...

That was it! It was the Carlisle Connection. Didn't know there was a driverless version of the Class 27. I thought something had gone wrong with my installation or maybe a DTG update killed the driver (poor guy...lol).

    Thanks! :)

You can sometimes see the driver in the wrong cab- in fact you certainly will if the scenario involves changing ends.

Most locos have a static driver model attached to the front cab.
I sort of remember the ICE 1 having a dynamic driver, otherwise it's the author's job to make the most of it.
When cab switching is involved, it can get funny with passengers in the wrong cab, thus it might be a better option to have no driver at all.

I'm pretty sure there are a number of dynamic drivers in TSC, unless I've been hallucinating...lol I spend about 75% of the time driving in external view, so no driver at all is an immersion killer for me. I would rather have things the way they are than having no driver at all. YMMV :)

How do you end up with Passengers in the drivers cab?
The coaches in MU trains are identical at each end of the set so the passenger position should be the same.

Wording. I meant the person who could be the driver but in the rear cab he certainly isn't.
    Except in streams for fun.
I guess you can drive from the rear with a walkie-talkie or otherwise, especially while shunting. ;)

He/She is called a Driver because it's their job title not because of the action they are doing at that specific moment in time, so whether he/she is in the leading or trailing cab, applying power or picking their nose, they're still called a "driver".

If you look at the Class 33 you will see a driver in each cab at the same time.
One might be the Guard who rode in the rear cab on Fitted Freight trains
