Well I actually have mixed feelings with it! New routes, new loco's and lots of bug fixes and the way. Only issue I have is that it could be the usual Pre-release hype that leads to the usual disappointment? New routes look and sound superb. The Peak Forrest even with it's Very Strange start and end points, sounds amazing! I just hope that the timetables are full, creating lots of gameplay? I'm thrilled to bits that Rivet have listened to their customers and are in the process of fixing E & G. So I'm looking forwards to purchasing it. I also hope that they fix the issue where the red only turns to green when the doors are closed? Also, I am so chuffed (Pun intended) after months of me complaining about the SoS scenario, Edge Hill Sheds to Edge Hill Yard. DTG have finally acknowledged the issue of the wagon embedded in the buffer stop, and it's going to finally get fixed! So finally we can complete the SoS scenarios. With these new releases, Happy times ahead. Hopefully?
To be honest I am really happy with the content. Unless they have some kind soul donate 50 to 100 million dollars to make it perfect (as it seems many railfans want absolute perfection-its good to ask for it... but...) it will never be perfect. TSW3 has made a huge impact since September or October last year and it looks glorious. The German high speed route where it is a very long route...amazing!!! When railfans consider the work that goes in to these products they might slack off on their complaints. I don't see any other product offering real to life train dynamics and locomotive physics (within reason) and the detail going into the product. I'm so glad we have steam now too. I do sympathize with rail fans that want accurate scenery and things.... but I am happy!!! The staff such as Matt have stuck it out thick and thin and have done lots of feedback with the community. Not too many developers are this in touch!
The contents of this section will give you more fun with faster release spaces than last year. If there were two different ages for the settings, I wonder if the enjoyment would change.
From Wikipedia: "Hype allows brands to promote their image above the actual quality of the product." Basically sums up DTG in a nutshell.
