The Docklands Light Railway (DLR) is an automated light metro system serving the redeveloped Docklands area of London, England and provides a direct connection between London's two major financial districts, Canary Wharf and the City of London. First opened on 31 August 1987, the DLR has been extended multiple times, giving a total route length of 38 km (24 miles). Lines now reach north to Stratford, south to Lewisham, west to Tower Gateway and Bank in the City of London financial district, and east to Beckton, London City Airport and Woolwich Arsenal. Further extensions are being considered. yh it would be cool but you don’t actually drive defeating the point off adding it really. something like a part of london overground or a new tube line would be better
good point and if you want to run this manually the tutorial must tell the player to lift the panel to access the controls and then drive it manually. video
But the video you've posted shows the guy NOT driving the train. He operates the doors and tells the thing to go and then it accelerates, manages it's speed and brakes for the station automatically... Even with the operative at the control panel they only really monitor the operation, the trains are still automatic other than in very specific instances.
I think the DLR wouldnt be ideal for a train driving Sim, probably great for free roam on foot, but as mentioned the trains arent driven manually except in case of a fault and then only to the next Station. Even something like the Elizabeth line with its automated core would be more fun, as it has the manually driven branches to Shenfield and Reading, so you'd have something to do for most of the Ride.
I just think this would be cool. I need something different to the game instead of driving adding a free roamable experience would be something new to TSW 3!
