Having upgraded my PC am now able to play both TSC and TSW on highest settings. One route that hit me was the West Highland extension. This has always been a sideshow for me on high settings but finally those days are gone. This route looked easily better than many TSW offerings and it begs the question how easy would it be to bring over? It lacks superelevation but other than that why not? Would be an iconic route, could have steam and diesel and has a rather famous film connection..... I'm sure many of us could appreciate it from all areas of interest but it looked that good it feels like a no brainer really.....
Limitation will be the timetable regardless of era, but that would be offset by the scenic splendour.
Could be padded out with freight ops in the Fort William area. Trip workings and shunts. If set in 1988 still a lot more freight. These days its Alcan tanks only.
Plus excursions and the Jacobite steam trips. Go back into the 70’s and you could feature the mixed trains - a couple of fish vans and an oil tanker behind the passenger stock. You could also repeat the timetable in different seasons.
There's a lot of potential in different eras. Unfortunately I suspect it would be the low hanging fruit of today's version.....Class 27 though on a heavy mixed train up the banks would be amazing....
