So it seems DTG without actually talking with me decided to halt our post on longer routes with no excuse whatsoever, we do not live in North Korea, if you have an issue with a post discuss it with the OP.

I think more your ridiculous attitude towards others in that thread was more the reason.

But you live in your own fantasyland.

Man, comparing basic forum moderation with North Korea, stretching it are we?

I don't like your tone of voice. I think in general DTG allows for critical comments. and usually they have good reasons for closing a thread. You may want to change the title of the topic.

    @PHJ-MGF

I´m certainly not suspect of being a DTG apologist, but I think you should tone it down a few notches.
"Gestapo" sounds really bad in my (german) ears and "North Korea" sounds even worse in my (east german) ears.
In a nutshell: It´s quite the overkill on a forum that DOES allow critical voices, after all.

DTG is absolutely fine with critical opinion and have said so on streams, but when things get abusive or have no underlying value and serve no real purpose, DTG can rightly terminate a thread.

You can also really overdo it when normal moderation activities in a forum that allows a lot of criticism and even discussions about other simulators are immediately labeled as "Gestapo" or "North Korea". This famous "mace" does not work here, as so often. Maybe just downshift.

Last but not least, why do you put the "Playstation" tag on a thread that is not about a Playstation problem?
That alone would warrant moderation, in my opinion.

When the OP allows less discussion in their own thread than the moderators it is a good case for the padlock. Following it up by asking for more punishment is not a bright move either.

    Alternative outlook:

You made a low effort thread & used to it to argue with anyone who disagreed with your view (seeing the irony yet?).

You have then made a follow up thread comparing DTG to a pretty nasty organisation responsible for various war crimes & the deaths of many.

Honestly, you need a time out, whether it’s self imposed or enforced by DTG, your behaviour is neither healthy for yourself or anyone else.

I mean if you actually feel like you’re being moderated to the same extent that the Gestapo suppressed people, then why are you even on this forum?

Let me jump in to share more details about why the thread was closed.

The reasoning behind locking was because it had evolved beyond healthy forum discussion and users were throwing abuse at eachother for conflicting opinions.
The thread in question about making longer routes had quickly become a two-sided discussion of "DTG should just do more".

There's nothing at all wrong with suggesting or wanting more from a game where you all share a passion in, but it's not acceptable to be attacking other people's thoughts if they happen to differ on that matter.
It is also worth mentioning that Train Sim World 3's release did push routes to the longest length we've had in the game so far.

We haven't been, and won't be removing constructive feedback / criticisms against what we currently produce, because those types of discussions are healthy and can provide us with the right ways to support players and create better content in future. However, we can not tolerate abuse, unconstructive negativitiy or hurtful language directed at other users (even name-calling and other small squabbles).

We want this space to be the best it can be, and to encourage newer players to join in and grow the community around train simulators. :)
