Hi there, As mentioned in numerous other threads, it would be really nice to see the HSP46 and bi-level cab cars added to the route to enhance the experience and overall simulation of the route. A lot of people would agree and have agreed and I personally and a lot of other people would be willing to help with this project who are also local to this route and have access to the locos. pictures included for reference.
I think it's better to have it come as its own route and then layer onto Boston sprinter. It would only act as a sub to the f40 so it's better value to include it on its own route so it has its own gameplay and then layer in
The only problem I see with that is (and I don’t mean this in a bashful way) that DTG kind of neglects US routes compared to the UK routes where the UK routes have plenty of route expansions and locos, meanwhile the US routes not as much so this would be a great opportunity for them to do so but I doubt it. I mean even the fact that they’re refusing to incorporate other locos even small static freight locos into the upcoming NJ transit route shows that maybe the heart just isn’t there when it comes to US content, but the money obviously is which is why “we get what we get and shouldn’t be upset”. DTG if you’re reading this, this would be a great opportunity to hear your community and start using the same amount of passion and detail you guys use on your UK routes with all your content especially if you’re increasing prices.
USA is one of the 3 countries that dtg makes most routes on, the US isn't being neglected that much. The US is getting a new part of the northeast corridor, the acela, Boston sprinter upgrades and a loco livery pack very soon (The acela and northeast corridor New york penn-Trenton (most of those suggestions were to philadeplhia but still the same route) and boston sprinter upgrades were highly requested from the US community)
Correct because it’s a cash cow for them. However I feel it lacks the same passion and creativity the UK routes do and I’m sure others could agree. I’m not saying it’s neglected route wise, but the same creativity and passion that goes into the UK routes should be applied to the US routes as well.
For me personally, this is a highly requested DLC and would be a first day purchase. There is hope that someday it will appear in my collection.
Well not sure about you but I saw trains driving through pillars, bare minimum time tables, and so on. Not impressed. Am I excited to see the new content? Sure but disappointed and know they can do better cause I see it all the time with the UK content. Smh.
I wrote the message before the preview. The trains driving through pillars might be sorted out in a patch and dtg can't make the full timetable because that would require much more trains. I would assume they do english routes better because dtg are a lot more local to them.
Even with the current trains in the route, forum members have pointed out there are many more services. Dtg have said the reason for a lackluster timetable is lack of time.
I mean I would guess that the pillar thing is going to be patched as well, however it was the same problem the last time the route was in the game. Its just very apparent that DTG does not create US routes with the same amount of passion and creativity that the UK routes get so with that being said, I’m going to spend my money on something that seems worth it to me which isn’t this route unfortunately and won’t throw money at DLCs going forward until DTG can show some passion regarding their US content. Maybe if the route is updated I’d consider, but as of right now I’m going to take a hard pass on this one. Only positive thing to come out of this is the Acela.
I hope if they would add it, as loco dlc or as a layer, that they make mixed consist maybe? I think it would require a full timetabl remake though... But irl these consist are always mixed up too so to make it more accurate, it would be nice to see that one those would come to TSW!
