There's a lot of small third party sites out there that provide Train Simulator with all sorts of content from routes and reskins to scenarios and scenery. Some of these third party groups are well known and provide content through payware such as Just Trains or Armstrong Powerhouse. Some are not as well known and provide freeware like trainsimdesigns.co.UK or DPS simulations. I think it would be of great benefit to everyone if we could compile a list of all these sites and what they offer.
The only ones I know is all the usual ones. Armstrong Powerhouse and Just Trains for content. SuperAlbs, BHReskins, Mungo, RFletcher72, DPSimulation, BlueRail, GBRW, EWS Simulations, UkTrainSim for reskins. Bluecode has gone down for some reason...?

Payware: Large selection of scenario's and German rolling stock, present day and history - ( http://www.3dzug.de/ or http://www.rw0381.de/ ) Small selection of German and Dutch (DB & NS) trains and other rolling stock - ( http://www.railtraction.eu/ ) Selection of Swiss (SBB CFF FFS) trains and other rolling stock - ( https://www.mersel.nl/shop/ ) Selection of German routes and rolling stock - ( Global Bridge Entertainment ) Selection of different routes and rolling stock, some of which are official, but there is also some unique work - ( https://www.simtrain.ch/ ) Already as partner I believe, as a small part is available here in the store or on steam, but worth mentioning, as they have a larger selection in their own shop: Large selection of scenario's and German trains & rolling stock, present day and history ( http://www.virtual-railroads.de/ ) (edit)Was already mentioned before. Selection of Austrian, Czech routes and trains/rolling stock - ( http://www.rsslo.com/ )
Can't believe VP has been forgotten... https://www.vulcanproductions.co.uk/ Both freeware and payware, with their Deltic pack being very highly reccommended.

Hello peeps! For enhancements to existing DLC, just contact me on discord @ProfCreeptonius#2578 I can give you a tonne of enhancements, if you ask nicely Why am I not posting them here? Because I pulled bits and assets from loads of sources and would hate to break some copyright, so this has to work 1-on-1. Cheers, ProfCreeptonius
Hey Prof! I sent you a request as well. BTW, I read your articles on the German Signaling System. Very thorough. Thanks for everything. Jack
Wow guys, big thanks to everyone in this thread and Corvan for starting it! If we end up with a compiled list I'll make sure it's stickied somewhere appropriate. Cheers, Martin
Thanks very much you to all for this compile. I don't even know the half of these website. Each other can find what suits him. Again thank you for this great attention. Cheers Gerard
Any payware italian routes shere you don’t have to scour the deepest corners of the internet to find all the needed scattered content thats usually needed in italian routes?
For North American content don't forget about RRmods-rw! We have a locomotive and railcars detailed down to the bolt/ production line. And much more to come! http://www.rrmods-rw.com/
Hi there! Couple of dumb questions - is the content available via these links compatible with TRS2019 and how do we go about installing it, especially if we've got TRS via Steam?
Most third part add-ons usually come with their own installation files. For repaints of locos and stock they come as a *.rwp file (RailWorks Package) and you use the Utilities program in your Railworks Folder. Peter
Hi Guys, I have been trying to reach the HomePage of Railworks America for several days now. I always get the following error message: Temporarily closed for maintenance. Code: H1D372 http://railworksamerica.com/ Does anyone know what's going on?
There is a problem with the Server that RWA sits on. Buzz is posting information on the Steam Forums https://steamcommunity.com/app/24010/discussions/3/1736595227843024469/ Peter
Plenty of Dutch stuff is available at www.treinpunt.nl. ChrisTrains has developed a lot of Dutch rolling stock (such as the Stadler FLIRT) and the free Jet Train: https://www.christrains.com/
Bit of a plug for the devs of the route, really, but if you don't have "Altenburg Wildau" then you should consider getting it here - https://www.railsimulator.net/wsif/index.php/Entry/389-Altenburg-Wildau-v-3-11/ One of the best routes I've ever come across, has a combination of modern signalling and semaphores, disused branches, graffiti on bridge abutments, custom catenary - there's really not something to like about it.
Better than "Altenburg Wildau" is "Im Köblitzer Bergland 3" which includes the section to Wildau and has a full 75km of route https://www.aerosoft.com/de/bahnsim...ulator/strecken/1363/im-koeblitzer-bergland-3 Peter
Thanks, Peter! I've had my eye on Im Köblitzer Bergland for a while, as the quality looks almost better than Altenburg-Wildau. I may have to go on a shopping spree what with that and some of the VirtualRailroads stuff. The main advantage of Altenburg-Wildau is that it's free, allowing you a taste of the quality before you make the plunge so to speak. Might have to pick that one up sooner rather than later, though.
Hello everyone, I want to know if I download and install any routes and locos from those payware sites which are not regular addons from DTG or Steam or workshop like an Indian loco and wagon , will it be allowable to play such game in TS 2019 as it is not from any of the mentioned sites.
Shouldn't be any different to UKTS, Thomson etc add ons that slot in. Only difference is that there won't necessarily be central support for any interactions caused.
ARuscoe . But I want to know if all other remaining addons (official) will work fine if such third party resources installed in my game .
There's no way of knowing how various interactions may occur given there would be so many variables. The suggestion would be to back up your current assets and contents folders so you can easily restore this if anything messes up
Third party add-ons that are Sold tend to work fine because the seller would lose custom if word got out about a problem. Freeware Add-ons generally work ok. If you had a problem with Any item purchased thru Steam you can just download the item again at no cost. Untick the item in your Library and the select it again for it to be reloaded. Peter
If you bought it elsewhere, but installed it through the package manager then you can UNinstall it that way too
Is there anyone that makes new free scenarios that don't need additional paid content? Is there a way to search for that in the workshop or any of these sites?
No, everything needs a route and consists, all of which comes from DLC It's frustrating initially but that's how simulators work
The Train Sim Corner is home to a fair few TSW as well as TS mods! Check it out over at https://sites.google.com/view/thetrainsimcorner/home
TSW Mods as of right now are just replacing content that is currently in the game. Many of the mods are minor texture fixes but some are replacing full loco skins.
Under the Community Submissions Page there are many TSW Reskins including a CN AC400 Reskin and a Railion Logistics 185. On Yuri's page there is also a fair few freight car mods that fixes a few of the minor issues on the cars.
Here are two you should add too. German Rolling Stock (Rheingold, Rail Crane, Orient Express) www.3dzug.com My side is currently transfered to English. If you are missing some description please switch to German meanwhile. I am working on it. International www.trainsim.store (Hint: there is a 20% off sale till 10th of January). Cheers Matthias
Steam Sounds Supreme is one that I have found absolutely essential. Nearly all of my steam trains have improved sound packs provided by SSS, and they also provide some free routes and reskins as well. For instance, this GWR Hall in BR Black reskin, which was free:
There is not only Dutch stuff at TreinPunt but more and more from other countries too. Everything is freeware. ChrisTrains has some German models also (like the RS1 and Suwex Flirt) for which there are lots of freeware repaints available. And his BR186 model, which is widely used throughout whole of the EU, has tons of repaints available too.
