I am on the Bremen Oldenburg route with a E110.

When applying too much power at low speed, there is a loud noise as if a massive circuit breaker is triggered, on the HUD the power level has a red box around it with two red arrows underneath, and no power is applied anymore.

Hoe can I recover from this? Anything I tried doesn’t work…

The way to recover from that is cold starting the locomotive again

Tap to 0, close MCB and you can continue. That simple.

Keep the amps below 420. You’re thinking of the force metre right in front of you. Keep that below 60kN and you’ll generally be fine.

I suggest you to “take off” at throttle +4 then when you take more speed you can gradually apply more power and yeah no need to cold start just put the throttle at 0 close the MCB and off you go

It was common practice to accelerate the 110 with a force of 40kN per traction motor.

As stated correctly, after an Overload, all you need is to run down to notch 0 and close the Main Circuit Breaker again.
