This route, more or less a network, would span between helensburgh central, and airdrie, Via glasgow central and queen street low level. This route would be able to have a decent variety in rolling stock, with a good amount of freight, and commuting passenger trains. The route Seen above is an example of what the route could look like, it consists of a line between helensburgh and airdrie, roughly 30 miles long, and 3 shorter branch lines to balloch, milngavie, and springburn. Some more optional routes could be from anniesland to glasgow queen street high level Below are some of the routes that operate this network, and their primary rolling stock. Helensburgh central-Edinburgh -class 334 Balloch-airdrie -class 318/320 Milngavie-springburn -class 318/320 Larkhall-dalmuir -class 318/320 Motherwell-dalmuir -class 318/320 Cumbernauld-dalmuir -class 318/320 Whifflet-dalmuir -class 318/320 Stock included The selling point of this route, there would be plenty of opportunity on rolling stock to include. Class 318 The class 318 has a top speed of 90mph, and would layer to cathcart circle as A.I and some driveable services. Class 320 The class 320 has a top speed of 90mph, and would later to cathcart circle, operating similar services to the class 318. Class 334 The class 334 has a top speed of 90mph. And would layer to edinburgh-glasgow on services from Edinburgh park to Edinburgh waverly. The class 314 would also later from cathcart circle, forming occasional services alongside the class 318 and 320.
Amazing suggestion! I really loved all the (well 2 routes) of Scotland! This route seems really fun and lot of stock that can be seen and can be layered on the other ones!
Excellent idea and fir Subsitutions the following will give Class 385s and 314s here. These are Glasgow Queen Street High Level to Edinburgh Waverly via Falkirk High and Cathcart Circle. Basically DTG can bundle your suggestion and the existing Scotrail Routes as TSW3 Scotrail adventures or TSW 3 Scotrail starter pack comprised of Your suggestion GCC & EDN with US Cajon Pass Germany SFS Hannover Würzburg Kassel Würzburg section.
Only backdated scottish one I'd like to see is the 'Port Road' (Stranraer branch) with the Clan Class Pacifics! I'd love to see the 318, 320 and 334 in TSW.
