Hello. I will say right away - I really like the Clinchfield route, but adjusting the brightness and contrast in this add-on leaves the passage of tasks, between 05:00PM to 08:00, extremely difficult. Tasks from the "Trip to the Nora Mine" branch are several hours of gameplay, in complete darkness, during which you simply keep an eye on the readings of the instruments. I guess with the introduction of new lighting in TSW3, this problem has only gotten worse. This can be encountered on many other routes, in the morning or evening hours. - time 5:15 PM I want to turn to the developers - New routes and locomotives are good, BUT, you are selling a product that has a lot of flaws and errors. Moreover, you transfer these shortcomings to the new version of the simulator. (The very idea of a "new version" of the simulator is highly questionable.) It is unfortunate that in pursuit of profit, Dovetail is steadily reducing the quality of his work... Let's hope things change for the better. P.S. Perhaps you should change the sound designer, in the latest DLC the balance leaves much to be desired.
If you know how to change "Engine.ini", try: r.TonemapperGamma=2.2 Or =3/4/5. It will light up in night.
Yes, ini settings change the core game so go across all routes. Clinchfield was highlighted as being ridiculously dark at launch. The solution given by DTG was okay services in summer. Nothing has been done with it since
Is there any trick for turning off the heavy rain? I don't remember how it was in TSW2, but in TSW3 the visibility is very poor in this heavy rain. I have to use external camera to see 5 yards in front of the train.
For those still not aware, use this mandatory mod and just drag the Precipitation slider to the left ingame. https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/mods/c3-train-sim-world/c75-utilities/i2703-tsw-god-mode-alpha-021
Thread is tagged with "PC". GodMode is also useful for playing some CSX scenarios as they were intended (Powering America Pt2, Ice and Snow) because the rain and snow presets got lost in the TSW2 conversion...
You can also apply ini settings on the go with the console (either UUU or God Mode) - I believe UUU works with the PC MS Store version of the game as well. Command is slightly different though, remove the = sign.
But that was mentioned after my post. So it is technically an XBox version. Can't do anything about that So the mod is helping those who play the Steam/Epic version, sadly not for MSStore. That's how it is.
The mods are mainly for steam. Unless a separate epic version or ms version is made, some mods might not be able to work.
