Now the question is will they include the 700/0 on BML. Maybe for memory purposes they have to keep it at 700/0 for the BML or the will come out with the 700/1 later on and charge it as another loco DLC
realisitically, what does the 700 actually run on SEHS? or is it just the same as the 465 in terms of short trips?
yes, some all the way, most doing up to either st albans city and luton. i feel as this is a likely future route as if set in 2019 it would only need one more train modelled - Vp185 HST, 700 and a 222 meridian
Space was left if I remember right. Its just optimisation of the route that's the issue. Like they can't make BML and not leave space in case of a 700 it would be stupid especially since the depots there.
Let me throw into the hat. If the new ROG Class 37/7 only adds 10 more services... Then how come the service count for SEHS is now 695 post update? I get the feeling that not all those services are available right now and that they are probably related to an upcoming Class 700 add-on. As a reference, it was 601 beforehand. The 10 new ROG 37 services would make it 611, meaning that this 700 add-on would add 84 new services to this route.
Unfortunately... No, there hasn't been. Also, I was meant to say 84 services for the Class 700. The 94 number was including that and the ROG 37 services. I've since corrected this in original post.
Prob means the release date for the 700 is imminent if they’ve planned/released number of services. Obviously a day one purchase for most people on here, especially if coming out for SEHS as well as BML which hasn’t been ruled out.
They did say when BML came out that the Thameslink serivies are in the timetable jist in case they decided to make a 700. They did it with Boston too we didn't get a new timetable when the Acela came out as they were already there just in case. Optimization issues on the timetable are mainly 8th gen. I run on series X and the lowest my FPS is is 52 around the Battersea/Victoria area. The rest runs 59/60 FPS. And they already realeased the 313 which added services to BML for PC and 9th gen only. So the standard has already been set for the 700 to release on SEHS and layer onto BML for PC and 9th gen only. I know that 8th gen users will be upset just like when the 313 came out. But I see 8th gen being phased out slowly over the next couple of years by many developers. Especally now that Sony has targeted 2027 for the PS6
I have a series s and i’ve never gotten a frame drop around victoria, i have gotten a frame drop on the high speed portion around ebbsfleet and ashford though
Really hope the 700 layers on BML, it would get me back on the route as it has a proper windscreen to see something . And let us all pray they bought AP sounds again and dont do something like their TSC Version, but DTGs TSW Stock is always better than its DTG TSC counterpart so there is hope.
I hope that's why Joe has been real busy working on the BML and SEHS timetables and haven't had the chance to fix the NYT timetable
Wouldn't layering in the 700 with the release on sehs break bml in its current state? There's already 9 locomotives in bml. 377, 387, 375, 313, 66, 166, ai 465, ai 43, static 09. The 700 brings it up to 10 and possibly thousands of services both ai and playable. Would need optimizations or layers removed to get the 700 working but idk how the players would react to content being removed. Rush hour passengers were left out due to not having enough memory, so idk how a whole brand new locomotive could layer in without causing problems. You also got to account for people on a lower end pc who might not have the memory to run the route well.
The timetables were already done when the routes came out. They said on both BML and SEHS that the Thameslink services were already added in case of they decided to go with the 700 in the future. Just like Boston Sprinter. There wasn't a new timetable as the Acela was already there waiting for a potential DLC. They do it for all the routes they build thw timetable with all the services that run on the line whether they have them or not. So it's easier to add loco DLC's without having to build a brand new timetable.
Again that is the Gen 8 community mainly. Gen 9 has no issues running the timetable and layers. Also go back to the BML preview streams where they mention the Three Hills depot is modelled in the route as well as the Thameslink services are in the timetable just in case they add a 700 in the future. So they are already there.
Think if it’s to go onto BML which I do hope it is, they’d need do bring that up to TSW3 standards. I’d love to see that.
Hopefully’s today “leak”/announcement, whatever you want to call it, is similar to what Rivet did with the 385/Edinburgh-Glasgow route. Give us a bit more detail/sneak peek each day with more and more info. Then BAM! Release!
But he didn't mean Ebbsfleet or Ashford was on BML, he meant he gets frame drops on those sections of SEHS where as he doesn't get any in Victoria on BML.
A revamped BML with new lighting and RH passengers plus the 700 would be perfect. I am cautiously optimistic...perhaps they can address the RAM issues by doing over some of the scenery and maybe removing the optional extras like the HST and 09? It should be the flagship route for UK fans, but SEHS is definitely ahead now.
a class 700 with a MML south could mean something huge for the midland mainline which is a possible london - derby/nottingham line at about 127/129 miles
Hopefully hear or see something on tomorrow’s stream, could have more viewers than expected now, looking for the 700 instead of the expansion pack. Don’t think we will be getting London to Derby/Nottingham though. Good night all!
Maybe the RAM issue will cease to be an issue when the add on on manager is released on all platforms. I remember Matt saying during a stream that RAM saved by the add on manager can be as much as 500mb. That should be enough to get a 700 into BML, even for gen 8 consoles My betting is though they will package the version of the 700 which runs on BML in a loco bundle. I mean this is DTG we are talking about, never afraid on repackaging locos already in the game to make a few extra quid
Well if it is a different class 700 I would imagine that will come later. I hope they do add it at some point. I will most likely get this as SEHS is one of my favourite routes although I wish the classic lines were longer.
Clearly, Gen8 has the biggest memory/performance issues with BML (they almost had to remove the 387 prior to release, it was that bad!). But new gen/PC clearly is also operating near the limit because they haven’t been able to turn on rush hour passengers. Unless they redo the route somewhat to make it less resource-intensive and bring it up to TSW3 standard, I guess a double timetable option could help. Essentially a copy of the current timetable, but with the Class 700 added and AI-only services (HST, for example) removed.
I'm guessing they won't mention it till the last moment if its on BML because if it is going to be PC and Gen 9 they are going to have to take some heat on the forums I'm sure. I remember an uproar when they announced the that the 313 was going to layer on BML for 9th gen and PC only. I think this will be a bigger deal if the 700 goes the same way. As it is more services than we got for the 313. Only time will tell until we get something official other than a teaser. Unless it's a pic of the 700 at at BML station nothing is a sure thing.
