On PS5 the game keeps crashing on starting Class 465/9 Introduction.
Via the route and via the train depot selection.

Same here. Last one needed for the SEH: Trained and Ready trophy. Game keeps crashing when starting the training module.

Same here on PS5, just crashes when you start the training module therefore you cannot get the trophy for completing all training modules for SEH on TSW3

Then I guess it's a console related issue. Would love for DTG to take look at this DTG Matt.

I'm confused. I've just been in to try and do this no-longer-crashing training module, as required to get the SEH: Trained and Ready trophy and it's showing as already completed. So I went into the new profile I had created for redoing all the stupid stuff that doesn't pop as it should on my imported profile, and it's marked as completed there too. And again on the other random profile that I'd done a few of the other tutorials on when I thought this might be a limited issue and not ingrained into the very fabric of the game.

So wherever the crashing module needed to be done to get the trophy, it's now already marked as done without me having received the trophy. Does this mean I need to now set up yet another bloody profile and redo all the other SEHS trophies AGAIN to maybe get this trophy to pop?

I tried this day before yesterday, on PS5, received the trophy for completing the 465 training, but not the trophy for completing ALL training modules on SEHS.

I believe the cause of this is that some of the training modules are not "marked" as such, as in, there not in the training section. MML that has just released has the same issue with the 158.

At this point they should probably just give up on those stupid trophies entirely since they can’t seem to get them to work properly. I’ve had so many issues with this game it’s astounding.

No, they should make them work.

I'm sure DTG would like too at this rate, but it's my understanding developers MUST include trophy support for any game released on a playstation system as part of the deal with Sony.

The trophies on TSW aren't a big deal for me, don't get me wrong, I like getting what I'm owed and get frustrated when it's not. My larger gripe with the trophy situation is the fact DTG must have been aware of this when launching on consoles, have had over 3 years to create a stable, base code & system that shares synergy with the trophy system, yet still botch it.

The thing is, the PlayStation is home to some of the most complete, most immersive and best loved gaming experiences available, and trophies have, for many years, been an important facet of that, allowing developers to provide additional goals, encourage extended play in certain directions and add extra depth of experience to the storytelling. The problem with TSW is that it's still a fairly shonky PC port made largely by people who can do physics and simulation with some quite nice 3D models, but don't really 'get' game design or have enough experience with the PlayStation ecosystem. It means that trophies have become just a badly-implemented list of things to tick off, some of them pointless in their simplicity, meaningless in their banality and others so tedious as to make their collection pure chore.

The lack of value they're given is clear from how comically simple it is to Platinum TSW3, how frequently they simply don't work and that they're bundled together under unhelpful Group 01, Group 02, Group 03 sub-sets. Would it have been so hard to name each set in a clear, relevant way?

The collection tasks are a key example of poor game design: well implemented, they'd encourage users to explore the yards and stations, find areas of beauty in the maps, or provide a changing backdrop to the levels (fixing broken lights to illuminate attractive areas of stations, for example). While the route maps and posters do feel like we're completing the station decor to some extent, on many levels, we simply find ourselves slogging miles along bland countryside, hoping to bump into some object that's in the long grass next to a fence, for no real benefit. The fact that new DLC come with a paltry three trophies each, means that where there's no route task trophy, there's little incentive to find them.

So along with the complete absence of DualSense features – the controller being the defining feature of this PlayStation generation – it's no wonder console players feel like they're being short-changed most of the time. If you make a game for PlayStation, yes it should have trophies, but more importantly, they should be worthwhile and actually work.

On PS5 this one is gone as well, before there had been 5 training modules now there are 4.
