DTG is famous for making high-quality games. Which route is the most perfect? I think there are two kinds: A. Most fun. eg. SEHS, DRA. B. Most realistic. What do you think B. will be?
I don't see this kind of question leading to something good. It's like the old Star Trek vs Star Wars discussion. Fan boys, assemble!
OP has done nothing but post trolly questions since they popped up, probably one for the ignore list.
Very subjective as often boils down to personal taste. NTP is one of my favourites but I’m biased as BR classic diesels are my favourite era. Trying to be unbiased, the German routes are probably the best put together, though that slipped a bit with BBO and West Rhine. If I had to select one that stands out, probably Dresden to Riesa even though the scenery is a bit flat, though the Meissen branch is quite nice especially in twilight or at night.
I still think London Commuter is the best route, although Linke Rhienstreke with the BR682 is coming close.
For my tastes, the closest to perfect are Niddertalbahn, RSN and SEHS. DCZ would be if it had a polishing pass - the floating is too distracting.
Thanks for making me laugh. And yeah, SEHS in TSW3 is sooo much fun. Especially when you try hard the entire journey to gold everything to get the "completed to gold" accolade at the end, only to find out that the 66 services at the end of the journey cannot be completed to gold and you're stuck with a bunch of bronze medal. Soooo funny.
I'm pretty sure the OP was sarcastic. The thread title says it all: not only is there no "perfect" route, but perfect is an absolute, it has no comparative, so most perfect is grammatically incorrect. I choose to blame the translator, since the OP's native tongue is not English.
Most are realistic but by far the most realistic is probably Niddertalbahn as it's a ton of custom assets and the timetable is replicated from the real time table.
I like all routes in tsw, but to name one with currently the best future potential for extensions & network fans like me. Good experience in network gameplay + passenger commuter / highspeed / freight / towing assistance mix is probably sehs with all dlcs. There is a huge potential to extend ashford to brighton (east coast way extension) and make the first big network possible.
For me I would say most fun I'm having at the moment is the Harlem Line, and the most realistic I would also go for London Commuter.
For me, a good route has to be well-rounded. No matter how long it is or how much content it has, everything has to work well and feel good. My current favorites are: Niddertalbahn Southeastern Highspeed Extended Bakerloo Line London Commuter Tees Valley Line Northern Transpennine East Coastway
The first line is obvious sarcasm because we all know it isn't true, but how is the rest bait? Just seems like basic conversation.
I would go with Brighton Mainline as the Top route in the game, primarily if your on Series X for Xbox consoles. especially more so with layers, they’re what bring in the variety with Freight and Ai
I have 7 routes. I think SKA is the most realistic, although it's monotony and boring. SKA is ease to be on time, for that alone, I think SKA is the most realistic. I drive smoothly, not like a madman. No wonder SKA is the advertising image. When opening the game, the screen is often SKA. SKA is the best! You have the longest route, the longest AFB & LZB, and the longest boring tunnel! There seems to be no error that path red light, but still have small problems.
Yeah I get why this post was created, but sod it I'm gonna play along. For nostalgia, either North Transpennine or Tees Valley as I grew up with those trains. For the sheer amount of services available and feeling like an actual mainline, London Commuter.
Ever since the release of TSW, I have been dreaming of the Brighton Main Line. After its release, I was completely delighted and consider it the best route for today. It looks complete, filled with exciting and varied gameplay. To reach the ideal state: - remastered to TSW3 standards; - timetable class 700; -adding a London Bridge-East Croydon branch for services 700; -adding a branch to Eastbourne via Lewes The best UK route could be the South East High Speed if getting an extension of the Chatham Line (London Victoria to Rochester) and the North Kent Line (London Bridge to Dartford). Ideally, for this route, I see an extension to Ramsgate and Dover, with the addition of a branch line to Sherness. As well as the addition of branches from Ashford to Dover and Ashford - the Eurotunnel Portal for Eurostar services (then this route will take on a complete look and will be filled with crazy gameplay, such a network route will have no competitors). In this form, it has already been implemented in the TC. It's just the bomb!!! Among the German routes, I consider Ruhr Sieg Nord to be the best. No doubt it needs to be extended to Siegen. With the advent of BR232 and its services, route gameplay will be unattainable for others. The only competitor may be the emergence of a network route built near Cologne (Cologne-Düsseldorf-Duisburg-Essen-Bochum-Dortmund; Cologne-Solingen-Wuppertal-Hagen; Cologne-Aachen; Cologne-Koblenz). But I do not expect this in the near future. Niddertalbahn is simply a highlight for relaxation, enjoyment and love!!!! Among the American routes, the Clinchfield route attracted me the most. May become my favorite LIRR if it is brought up to new standards, the schedule is revised and it gets a route extension and loco DLS MP15 and DM30.
Would also be nice to throw in the freight line from Hoo Jn to Grain and Thamesport, give the 66's more of a run. And the icing on the cake for me would remain a 4CEP (BEP) unit to AP standards, to play "Electric Classics Of Kent"). Maybe a VEP too.
The most perfect route is the one that has not yet been built. My top ten is as follows (1 is my favourite) 10-MAG 9-BRO 8-NID 7-LFR 6-DCZ 5-BKL 4-RSN 3-SEHS (Extended) 2-LBN 1-DRA
To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women. Sorry, what was the question?
I was thinking of reciting " The Owl And The Pussycat " in its entirety in response to this troll. But, as long as people keep feeding him/her/it, there'll be others.
Sadly I suspect this route is now end of life so far as DTG are concerned, whether more fixes or extra content.
ChatGPT claims that "TSW3's Holiday Express: Runaway Elf DLC offers a highly realistic and immersive experience that is sure to delight train enthusiasts and simulation fans alike." WTF, I love Runaway Elf now, guess I'll go with that one
I hope not. Those workday Journey sequences seem like they'd have taken a hell of a lot of effort to set up. Be a shame if that work just faded into the ether.
These are my rankings based on my personal opinions. I am evaluating the routes assuming all loco DLC and layers are enabled. Top 10: 1. London-Brighton 2. Dresden-Riesa 3. Great Western Express 4. Dresden-Chemnitz 5. SEHS (extended) 6. Munich-Augsburg 7. Ruhr Sieg Nord 8. Harlem Line 9. Tees Valley Line 10. East Coastway Honorable mentions include Horseshoe Curve, Main Spessart Bahn, and Spirit of Steam. I should note that none of these routes are by no means perfect and every single one could still be improved a lot. I haven't played enough of Niddertalbahn or Linke Rheinstrecke to determine if they should be in my top 10. Niddertalbahn does seem very worthy of it so far though.
Anything with a Dirty BR Diesel. London Commuter. SEHS. Basically because it's like having two different routes in one package, making it very enjoyable to play. DTG should do more like this!
Erm, SKA is Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen. Schnellfahrstrecke Kassel-Würzburg, which you're talking about, is SKW.
Edinburgh to Glasgow is my current favourite, followed by the magical mystery that is WCL. I occassionally venture onto the BML and SEHSX. Why? Who knows, but the TMS is fun to play with, just needs Dunblane and Alloa added to the voice logs -__-
On Riesa-Dresden I tried to make the 155 & 182 spawn there so that I can get Power surge and True Taurus on that route
