recently i downloaded the glennock creations sodor route. this needs the branded South wales coastal, but that is unobtainable. is it possible to change the texture dependencies from the branded to the unbranded version?
It is possible by mass replacing the file paths in each file of the route. Will take a few minutes... I suppose the (No Phorum Peninsula) version in your case? Working on it...
The version I posted is standalone. (It will just overwrite the original in case you've already installed that)
Please redownload - if you have all other dependencies which are listed on the website, it should work. https://workupload.com/file/wMLLECGf6Hw Testing my version, looks fine - no missing assets or textures. You got the UKTS stuff? Do you have the rest of the reqs then? Readme: Place the 1b181022-add9-43ed-9752-715732934948 folder into Dovetail Games\RailWorks\Content\Routes. Some blank scenarios have been included. Essential (required for Tracks and Signals): UKTS: Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Route (UKTS ID 34738) & Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Scenery Pack (UKTS ID 34739) DTG - London Transport Heritage Collection Skyhook Games - Corris Railway DTG - Riviera in the 50s Scenery requirements: DTG - South Wales Coastal - DTG - South Wales Main Line DTG - Weardale and Teesdale Route Kuju - EU and US Asset Packs (included in routes like Settle & Carlisle and Woodhead) RSC - Falmouth Branch RSC - Settle & Carlisle RSC - Woodhead
I can just say it does work with the unbranded South Wales Main Line now. It's a pretty big route, and definitely worth exploring.
I suppose you have not copied my version to the correct place. Open my zip. You'll see a "Content" folder. Drag this onto an empty spot in your "..\steamapps\RailWorks" folder. You'll then be asked if you want to replace files (the original Sodor route). Click Yes. Do not drag my content folder over your content folder! This will result in having a "RailWorks\Content\Content\Routes..." folder structure which doesn't work.
Then there's something wrong with your assets. I've changed the dependencies and checked and the route files are ok. Beeching has not been here.
Hey man it seems the link for this fixed version is 404 now. Could you send a working link for this fix? I would greatly appreciate it.
I've made that fix - but I am not sure if I am allowed to distribute it. Though it's freeware, it's not Public Domain. Just follow the steps above, it's really simple doing it yourself.
