Could I have some help or tips? I'm attempting to do' Branch frieght: Clock face colliery - Speke Junction' I'm driving a 9F. I'm stuck at Dittion Junction station. Its raining and on a hill. And i just have wheel slip. The loco wont move. Any ideas on what the Regulator and reverser needs to be set to? Its the first timetabled route I've attempted after doing the training modules. I've tried looking for help in the forums and for any youtube videos but cant find any assistance.
Is this a scenario where you need to manually release the brakes on the fitted wagons, I wonder. Otherwise the steam physics in TSW are still so broken, it’s impossible to really recommend a sweet spot. In TSC or MSTS you would probably go for around 65% cut off then slowly crack open the regulator. However TSW seems to rely on less cutoff generally and it is hellishly easy to induce wheelslip in the rain.
Yes that was it. the vacuum brakes on each truck needed releasing! It was those troublesome trucks! Thanks so much for the info. Checking the brakes wasn't part of the tutorial, never thought to check my self. normally trains are ready to go.lol well they are on other routes.
Glad to have been of help. And yes, all TSW routes seem to vary the state in which you take over a train. Just hope this isn't one of those scenarios ruined by the SPAD bug.
