50% fluff, 50% report. As in, I don't really expect a fix. I ran W&D in summer with route specific 2D Cloudy, perfectly fine. Decided to redo it in autumn, just drive. I'm not sure there was a problem right away, but after some time and alt-tab, I noticed some snow in the distance. Snow? What? Turns out... In some cases it works quite well with the patchwork: It's the weather-specific distant scenery overlay. I'm a bit surprised it's texture. Maybe something broke with the alt-tab or similar? Anyway.
Can't reproduce this. No missing textures on this old route See if clearing the cache helps. Seems to be a local issue on your end.
https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...s-for-old-3rd-party-routes.51181/#post-442065 i got similar issue on a route, grey things over the screen-i think it's what torfmeister calls polygon madness. how can i fix it? https://easyupload.io/6wqs8c
This happens if - a moving asset whose pack is not ticked in the Object Set filter of the scenario / route is used (Fort Kent bug) - a DRM encrypted model when Steam cannot verify your legal ownership Need more details on what you're showing and what you have done. ("a route" is useless for me)
Ran the first half an hour again, just for science. It didn't reproduce this time. So either of the following things happened yesterday: Starting in the editor, changing from summer to autumn had this side effect. I think I would have noticed earlier. Having a pause for an hour at Bishop Auckland somehow broke things. Tabbing out a bit during that pause broke things. (I did test a quick alt-tab now, it didn't break.) Some absolutely random issue. I wouldn't even thought about distant scenery like that as an asset. The combination of 2-3-4 may sound like the game stopped rendering distant scenery and just decided to show this stuff instead. See the thumbnail, which is how it looks normally on my end (15:00:10 or so, a bit after the shots in the original post). So, yeah, fluff and unspecified report of potential instability.
That could explain it. Playing straight from the editor after making changes like switching seasons can lead to this. Also signal states are not reinitialized. This is known - after hitting the Play button in the editor all you need to do is press Escape and select Restart. (Or play it from the Drive menu.) This is purely an editor glitch.
ok, it’s hertford loop. i’ve fixed most of they grey thing now, route loads ok. i still get it on certain scenarios
