Hi everyone, I've tried to find the answer to this question on the forum, but I believe nobody asked for it before as this is weird-logic question about backward compatibility of SEHS. Let's say I'll buy UK Starter Pack of TSW3 with SEHS extended. I do not own SEHS for TSW2. If I'll own SEHS extended for TSW3 - will I be also entitled to download for free the TSW2 version of SEHS for TSW2?
Ok, I don't mean to download SEHS Extended for TSW2, but it's non-extended version - it will not be possible?
No, because you don’t own that specific route. They are classed as 2 different DLC’s, and have individual ownership licenses.
Just in case anyone else is wondering: if you buy the Loco Add-on Bundle (Santa FE F7, Dispolok 182 and RHTT) you don't get license to play these under TSW2.
Only tsw3 exclusive content is not backwards compatible. Dlcs that have the compatible logo are backwards compatible
I think the answer to this is YES The reason being that if you have a license for any DTG DLC then you get the license for any compatible version of it So if you buy a TSW1 DLC you also get the licenses for the TSW2 and TSW3 versions Same with TSW2 content for TSW3, SEHS being a case in point So I see now reason why if you bought the SEHS route now (which on steam is actually marked as Train Sim World 2) You should get the TSW2 license and the TSW3 license for the DLC, with the 2 version being non-extended and without the 465, and the TSW3 version being extended and including the 465
Ok, just in case this info might be useful for somebody: If you have TSW2 but do not own SEHS and you'll buy SEHS Extended i.e. in TSW3 UK Starter Pack - you'll also be able to download non-extended version of SEHS for TSW2 free of charge. I'm not sure about Class 465 loco though, if I'll check, I'll post an update here.
That's a separate DLC in TSW2 so if you don't buy the license for it you won't get it There is no 465 DLC in TSW3 as it's bundled with SEHS
