I know this seems very nitpicky but the first thing i noticed is that the numbering looks very wrong. The numbers are too far apart and small
They've missed out some of the rivets as well... The IRL picture has three at the top of the front section on each side, the in game version only has two, and the access panel has none in game, when they're there IRL. How can this be allowed to happen (note extreme irony) To be fair though, the IRL font is larger, with wider numbers and less gap between them. Not sure it ruins the effect though
Also noticed that the yellow end lining is wrong too, you can see that it goes down further to the gap on the actual livery
I mean they call it simulator tbf, im just saying that it's wrong not getting angry over it, but it's still wrong
If it makes it look wrong when you look at the train as a whole, I’d agree, but if you have to zoom in so much that you pixelate it, then I don’t think it’s an issue.
It's more pixelated because that's the only image we have so far. When its in game though you'll be able to see everything better
It’s thirty quid for route and trains. If you want everything to be perfect to that level of detail, you’d need to pay a hundred times that - but the market isn’t there for such a product, so you can’t. For this price, it should re-create well the overall feel of the real thing, and be right in its major features. It should also operate in a reasonably realistic manner. Once the route’s released we will all be able to find things on the train and route which are different to real life which are far more significant than the above, but there’s no point, because nobody is denying that at this price they’re going to be there. What it is reasonable to do it to highlight the main things which are most important to us to improve, and request those changes. If, at that time, the biggest thing for you is the things you’ve mentioned above, that’s fine - but if we all create a thread about every minuscule detail we find which is wrong, even if we don’t think it’s particularly important, then the important things will just get lost in the thousands of threads.
Absolutely unacceptable, SHG should be banned from producing any more content for TSW until this is rectified. If we cant trust them to get the font size and spacing 100% correct how are we meant to trust them that they've put 6 rivets into the hidden engine mounts rather than 4??
If we use this logic, I demand to know why the "so called" goats in the simulator of the same name can wield weapons and launch nukes. Have those devs ever even seen a goat?!!!!!
Was only trying to point out a mistake, not demanding anything, not rioting, just saying. But people can be really defensive sometimes
And sometimes people can take a half serious post and turn it into a completely non-serious one very quickly... Hopefully the makers of the DLC look and see if they can change the font size and shaping on this one, but in essence it changes very little. At least we HAVE loco numbering on this HST, the GWE one hasn't for ages (don't know if it has right now as haven't checked)
Things like this don't stop me buying a DLC. However, things like timetable errors, other bugs are far more important.
To be fair if there’s rivets missing and wrong font used for train number I don’t care it’s what I call a minor detail mistake but on the opposite of it’s something big then it might be problematic
I for one am glad that we have some microscope-wielding nitpickers on the forum. When you model something, details are sometimes significant. Someone needs to point out the wrong or reversed truck or the mis- placed headlight. While what they find may not be important for the game ( fonts ?? ), in real life, a missing rivet can lead to disaster. So why not take the time to get the details right. " If you can't do the little things right, you'll never get the big things right ". -William H McRaven
Reminds me of a similar issue when Hamburg first released, with the 112 headlight size. I do wonder though, as they model it they will have pictures to know what the areas they are working on actually look like, they’ve obviously seen how and where the number goes and other stuff. So how comes these things go wrong in more than one place… cause anyone would look and see right I’m placing rivets how many ? 6 ok so theirs 4 and done…
