I'm sure many were disappointed to hear that in the new DLC we're only getting the 700/0 RLU and no 700/1 FLU. This is a problem because it ignores nearly half of the 700 fleet and renders the DLC useless for BML, perhaps one of the most significant Thameslink routes. DTG prided BML on its 29 stations, though it doesn't mean much when not all of them are served. 2 (Earlswood and Salfords) see no service, 1 (Horley) only sees 1 service, 1 (Wivelsfield) sees 2 services, and others see low double digit figures in our current timetable (1400 playable services, even Preston Park sees less than 3% of them). By comparison, Gatwick Airport sees 337 playable services, East Croydon 483, and Clapham Junction a whopping 758 playable services. The Thameslink services could change that. Furthermore, in the TSC DLC, we got both 700/0 and 700/1 but here it's only the 700/0.

For modeling, it would require the creation of one new car type, the TSO. Other than that, all of them have been modeled already on the 700/0.

Please heed this suggestion DTG, it would absolutely make the upcoming DLC infinitely better!

They probably want to bring it to bml, but not until it's optimized. Remember, rush hour passengers is still not a thing.

It would still be a good thing to add the 700/1 to the DLC, even if it's not usable (for now) on any timetable services.

Bring it on and why not bundle them together with 700/0 the later will run Brighton to Bedford via Luton & Gatwick Airports. Remember a part of the route needs to have CBTC Overlaid on ETCS

Absolutely agree, really hope for a 700/1 and would like to see London Commuter get the TOD 4 upgrade as well.

That's not how it works. The full model is still loaded and implemented for AI, but the physics model is much less full
So still uses a lot of memory and graphics power to load in, but a bit less CPU
On BML they know the route is still bloated so may well not want to add more to this bloating

If we got the 700/1, I would love to see the Trainbow included

Would be really nice to see, although apparently the average age of some forum members means I got abuse for suggesting Dovetail do more with Pride :)

TBH I would love to see more Pride trains in the game as I just love the concept of a company re-livering one of their trains as a way to say "Hey, we support the LQBT+ community!"

My favourites would have to be 390119 "Progress" (Avanti West Coast), 390045 (Virgin Trains), 700115 (Thameslink), 334006 (ScotRail) and 158773 (East Midlands Railway)

I meant add it in without implementation, in say scenario planner. I'm well aware how it works.

The reason that DTG didn't include a 700/1 was because of memory issues on BML

It would be great to have at least some services included on BML, but I can understand it's a huge thing to add. The random HSTs and Southeastern services doing Redhill to East Croydon can go as this does not reflect regular service, but even then I still think its a challenge.

Looking at the current timetable for the 700:
2tph - to Horsham (via Redhill)
    2tph to Peterborough
    4tph to Brighton
4tph to Bedford (2 tph via Redhill)
    2tph to Cambridge
2tph to Three Bridges (via Redhill)

So that is 8 services to add in each direction per hour.

But then again from Victoria, there are now just 2tp to/from Brighton and only Gatwick Express. The 2 per hour Southern services we have in game do not exist in today's timetable, but there is still quite heavy Southern traffic in the London Metro area and for the coastal services.

Maybe a comprimise can be found somewhere, but it would be really cool to have it work.

Think of it this way the 'LGBT Community' is quite different to saying you're not bothered by the fact someone is gay, lesbian etc. treating it as a normal low key thing. This is nothing new. Pride(TM) as it stands has highly political motivations nowadays beyond '#bekind & increasing tolerance', hence why it is contested and no doubt the constant push is why tolerance is going down. Not to mention why the LGB wants to separate itself from the Ts & Qs. You have to be blind to not see that. TOCs daubing their locos in 'trainbows' is a cynical virtue signal at best, akin to saying 'look at us The Queer Folk, we are 'inclusive', buy our things and look at how 'inclusive' we are.' It's like an out-virtue-signal competition between major corporations. And God help you if you deign to question it... so much for 'being kind' aye.

I think the best way to state a case for this kind of thing is to say these liveries exist in real life, let's have em in game, that's it. No mention of controversial charities either. That's better than DTG slipping in a trans flag container on Sherman Hill, which is a total fabrication. I mean if people want to support these things, they can do it outside of the game anyway, but aside from that it's almost as if you'd be trying to morally blackmail DTG because it's 'problematic' for them to profit from it.

I have a feeling that the /1 is going to be included in a new route further on, possibly the new AC route.

I agree, I personally feel we got slightly scammed with BML as like you say some of the stations see no service at all…..Three Bridges feels like a total ghost town.

Seems like another very strange choice on DTG’s part not to make a 700/1 and I feel pretty let down by that

How is bml a scam? A scam by definition is a deceptive or fradulent act. Dtg didn't lie about anything or trick the players. They stated facts that the 700 can't be added to bml due to memory limitations and it would just cause crashing. Would you want that? It is not a scam.

I still think it should be added for use in scenario planner and others, until the memory issue is sorted out.

Not really scammed as they did say that there was room left in the timetable but due to memory issues they cannot add it to BML currently as it is a bit stretched with 1400+services as it is.
Plus it's not like they said that they would definitely add the 700 to BML and then decided not to, which would be a scam.

Yep, I don't feel scammed by BML. However, it is almost absurd that the 700 won't be coming to the route.

I'd like to see a technical explanation as to what exactly these "memory issues" are. If we're being limited by older consoles, then that is even more insulting. So what if it's a latest gen and PC, or even PC-only, add-on?

There's also pc players on lower end hardware and dtg has to account for those. It's not just the players who have top tier and most modern equipment

That would be the last thing they would do or even consider. After all, players don't want layers removed. I think that's why giving players should have the ability to switch on and off layers. Although it's easier said than done and probably complicated to code in.

Not really now that they have the DLC loader. I would be of the belief that if you didn't load the assets in they they just wouldn't show, and wouldn't be more complex to not load an asset than a DLC really

You mean until they fixed memory issues with a Brighton main line and then Add new additions such as (more branch lines, class 455, 171 & 700/1) better scenery and improve graphic or (Brighton main line remake similar to Southeastern high speed extended)

I can agree. Maybe in a Brighton Mainline TSW-3 remake with more content:
    Locomotives
    Playable areas
    Branch lines
    Possible extensions
(If DTG says it's possible they can do it)

When the class 700/0 comes out I would love a Surprise additions:
    Dartford - London Victoria
    Dover Priory
    London Victoria
    Midway Valley line
(I would love these fun additions to SEHS)

If I'm thinking correctly, there is a route in the game right now that is 116 miles so it could be doable

A reminder that it's mostly the same scenery and tunnels and only 3 stations. It's a high speed route, meaning the timetable is 'uncomplicated' compared to building a full network with multiple branchlines which makes it more difficult if that makes sense

As noted above, the long routes in game are high speed routes with few stations, no industries, very little service interaction and a small timetable
The lines being suggested give the following numbers on RTT
    • 323 passenger and up to 96 freight services at Ashford
    • 96 passenger and 22 freight on the Medway Valley Line
    • VIC - Dartford via Nunhead : 142 SE, 147 LO and 91 TL services per day, loads of freight possible
    • And don't get me started on London Bridge... trains leave every minute or so, given the station is almost in four sections (Cannon Street, Blackfriars, Charing Cross & Southern Lines)

I agree! I think it would be more interesting to have (more playable areas in southeastern high speed such as) London bridge, London Victoria Midway Valley line, and Dover Priory If it was an idea for DTG!.

    I wasn't agreeing with you
I was giving a case why it's less likely for them to be able to do 100 miles of route in Kent than the German or French Countryside

I personally also think there's more than enough of the rest of the UK to ignore London for the next 10 - 15 DLC and focus on getting other areas of the country populated, and then have enough stock (and optimisation) to be able to do a London Terminus justice

Considering the last 2 UK routes have been based in the north ( 3 once the glossop line is out ) it’s only a matter of time before we find ourselves back in London

    I'm sure we will, unfortunately
I think that they should look to flesh out a lot of the more common train assets in the regions before coming back to the huge termini and timetables that London requires

I hope they avoid the entire area for a period of 10 - 15 DLC (so three to five years), which will mean we can have things like Sprinters, Pacers, Older DMUs that operated up North and in the West or Wales
Make some mark 1 coaches other than what we have, same for Mark 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s...

    Why do I say this?
So when they finally get to making Kings Cross, Euston or Liverpool Street we have good representation of those places over a range of times and a lot of stock to populate them!
Fine, make Southampton with a class 350, and then use that frame as a 450 in Birmingham, or Liverpool, but in the meantime make Blackpool North and fill it with 170s, which can then be used anywhere from Cardiff to Norwich and from Bristol to Scotland!

It's all well and good saying "I love this line, make this line better and complete this line"
but for me I am saying "What can we do to get the most railway in game populated with correct (or nearly correct) assets that can then fill that route up"
And it's easier to do this with a few regional routes that add up to a regional centre (ie Birmingham or Liverpool) that can then terminate at London somewhere
And it's definitely better than refining BML ad nauseum which brings an incremental betterment of the game overall, but no big leaps in possibilities unless you have some fundamental expansion that doesn't require another fundamental expansion, an example of which would be "Well we're getting the 700 so this can be used on MML South", but for the MML to be well represented we would also need the 222
IF the 222 comes with an expansion of MML Leicester, then that MML South becomes a viable possibility

Same is true of Peterborough or Cambridge or anywhere else that the 700 runs EXCEPT the North Kent Lines, where the 700s operate with a load of 465s and a few "normal" Electrostars once it merges with the Kent Mainline just West of Lewisham. The only thing missing there would be the 376 which also runs to Gravesend on those routes

Exactly, unless they make another timetable mainly focussed on the 700 and less services for the 377. That could work, but yes a fully new timetable would be needed ofcourse!

Leicester to derby and nottingham is in the midlands, not north enough imho,
Also do remember that out of all 15 ish english routes (this number includes the glossop line) (I didn't count the 2nd version of iow, or dlogw because they're the same route of another dlc), only 5 are northern with the only 21st century one being the glossop line, so we definitely need some more northern routes (especially modern).

I feel we have been ripped off by DTG as it's meant to be a rush hour route and with no rush hour passenger's definitely ripped off as DTG have not bothered to rectify the issues with memory and crashes considering that the other 2 rush hour routes has rush hour passenger's

It is also the busiest route and it has by far the most services so I hardly think we have been "ripped off"!
