Midland Mainline seems to be set for 18th of April. Also could be known as Three Midland Cities. Here's the inside of the cab of the class 158. Looking forward to official announcement. -- Update The article has been taken down -- Credit https://www.railadvent.co.uk/2023/0...o-join-train-sim-world-3-on-18-april.html/amp
Nice and would be cool but how do you arrive at 18th of April and what is the veracity of this given even ambassadors like mega sim haven’t even spoken let alone date for preview stream
And DTG arnt back till tues so if your correct that’s not long to do preview stream and launch around same time given no dates announced for preview stream next week when DTG return off Easter break so seems illogical to me
Cab looks nice, let’s hope they’ve remembered to redact or fictionalise any real railway contact numbers on display!
That date makes sense to me. Achievements are already out, it was originally supposed to be a March release, so presumably whatever caused that date to slip wasn't major......hopefully! Really want this to be good! Edit: what's the train in the background in the 2nd screenshot? 395?
Yes this is correct as if you own sehs I believe thus is ai layer just as possibly if same applies and you buy mml possibility of hst been ai on London tk faversham at st pancreas
No, that’s just the first three words in the headline of the article, not a title of the route. You’ve added a capital C to it in your mind. hehe. This isn’t the first time I’ve got the release date from an article in railadvent before DTG announce it. It has happened before. It’s not a route I’m particularly interested in though. One for a sale in the future rather than a day one so the release date isn’t that important to me. Always worth checking them for UK content info though.
Yet more sparse lineside scenery in a UK TSW route. What a surprise. Why is there no grass or bushes?
I'm not even sure where that is supposed to be, Leicester to Trent Junction is triple and quadruple track. It doesn't look like Trent Junction to Nottingham either or Trent Junction to Derby. Screenshot may have been taken on another route?
Oh okay. Thought it was a different name for the route like how London to Brighton was called London commuter. I came across it last night. Thought people were already talking about it it was uploaded few hours prior. Checked forums and discord didn't see anything. Am quite tempted as a day one purchase as haven't brought a route in a very long time. Glad to know Rail advert definitely is safe.
If you checked the article it was stated the release is 18th of April and I have just seen it has been taken down. So DTG marketing team would of got in contact with Rail advert and requested to take it down. An Ambassador like Mega Sim would of already known the release date. There told when they can release new content at a specific date.
There is still a screenshot of a part of the article i put on another thread. It looks like the article shouldn't have been released until 11th April and it was uploaded the wrong side of Easter.
I mean they follow a pretty clear pattern with releases. Preview stream and then release a week later. So that’s in line with the 18th or 20th.
yeah i know but as said above skyhook and dtg planned for walk around videos for today but alas they haven’t been uploaded yet
video is now on tsw’s twitter account https://twitter.com/trainsimworld/status/1644430126623387668?s=46&t=roELdg5KPRLEveBJfOTCgA
What on earth are those Idle sounds on the 158… Please tell me that it was in notch power with the brakes on or something…
Must admit I felt a wave of dismay when I heard those and the horn sounds a bit off too. 158 horn should be quite screechy. It all looks rather clean and interior textures, though hard to tell from a low res clip look a bit lo res...
Yeah seems like I was mistaken to get my hopes up after the apparent good state of the rolling stock, can’t help but feel deflated.
Indeed, as I said in the other thread. Nevertheless there has to be concern when someone at Skyhook and/or DTG has approved this clip for public release. Surely they must have realised the response that would come from those of us who have worked around or travelled extensively on these units. And it’s not just the sounds, that interior is downright horrible. Crudely modelled and textured and over bright/saturated lighting. Again with 10 days to release (less for cut off to upload), I really hope this is not the finished article.
But they at least look realistic and detailed. As I said reluctant to pass absolute judgment before seeing the finished article but seems more akin to to the standard in MSTS or Trainz to accommodate the fixed pass cam view rather than a fully interactive and exploitable interior.
If this product needs another sound mod (again), then im glad i chose the right platform . Im not judging anything now since its not the final release state. Itsya165, why dont you sell your brilliant sound enhancement work as a "company" similar to AP? For me its just highly conerning that the diesels of tsw1 years back had really top sounds with flanges and all around, and now for tsw3 it seems all devs struggle to deliver even a basic sound experience. With the 385, tsw got its first vehicle with entire missing flange sounds, which cant even fixed by a modder. So Whats going on?
Yes, as that is what I have been shown. I am disappointed with what I have been shown. Do you understand that?
Yep and if it as should be the Cummins engine one of things I love about Cummins 158’s is the small whine up and down during gear change then even when at 80ish mph the roar of engine from off- notch 7
