And a Great Northern Extension pack from Moorgate- Welwyn & Stevenage ( Northern City Line)
    Trains to be added:
    Class 800 Azuma
    Class 225

Class 387 (Layered) From london kings cross - hitchin
Class 700 (Layered) from finsbury pk-peterbrough

I'd love this in tsw3! It's about time tsw get's the highly suggested east coast mainline.

I too would love to see the ECML in game and although this is the dullest part of the route scenery wise the operations are regular and varied in 2019 needing only one new piece of rolling stock (801) and is only about 75 miles so it could be a genuine TSW contender.

Obviously I would prefer any ECML route to be with Deltics!

ECML south is kinda like NY-Trenton IMO, i like the 4 track runs, but i would love Kings X- Peterborough/ Kings Lynn. And i like the ECML south with loads of depots and sidings

Think it’s about time we actually had a stickied ECML request thread… about the third one this week. There is also a high possibility the TBA new DTG route could be southern ECML, albeit modern era.

It just has to happen. My personal feeling is that we'll get the Class 801 (hopefully both 5-car and 9-car), the Class 700/1 and the Class 387/1 included at minimum. The Class 717 would be an ideal addition, but since that would mean getting four train types with one route it can wait as a loco DLC if necessary. Other classes such as the Class 365, Class 91/Mk4 rakes and the HST would be ideal featured as some sort of retro pack later on, if time allows.

Also, I don't think we'll get anything like the Moorgate branch, Thameslink core, Hertford loop or anything near Cambridge/King's Lynn as simply King's Cross to Peterborough direct is pushing the complexity. Northern City Line and Thameslink services would be driveable from Finsbury Park. Slightly pessimistic view I know, but we would be getting the biggest (non extended) UK route after all.

DTG don't have the license for Azuma amd the 800s would.be guff compared to what they could have on the ECML

    Deltic…:D:D:D
    Or a Paxman Valenta HST.
Or even a Class 91 and Mark IV’s.
And no rendition of the ECML complete without every seat on every train fully reserved and people sat in the toilet compartments, on the luggage racks at the end of the saloon and on the vestibule floor!

We have a Class 801 model and an LNER branded HST DLC in TSC, so I would assume LNER content in TSW isn't completely out of the picture.

As stated 100s times before, TSC and TSW are completely different entities

In terms of development architecture yes, but I doubt DTG have separate teams for organising stuff like licensing. Usually if certain branding appears in TSC, it is more likely to appear in TSW (and vice-versa).

Edit: my point was that DTG have obtained LNER branding in the past, and the Class 800 series model must not be restricted by some sort of copyright as it features in TSC. The model itself cannot be ported over of course.

Good idea however I would prefer to extend the line up to York as it would only be an extra 50 miles. And we would also get an Class 43 HST in LNER/EMR livery as well.

Err no it's not, Peterborough to York is roughly 120 miles.

And apart from around Grantham and Stoke Summit, it’s pretty much flat as a pancake boring. It would also require their route builder(s) to recreate the vast railway complex at Doncaster which, given they don’t even have the time or skill to add Derby to Peak Forest, is probably asking too much.

Excellent idea furthermore timetable can be future-proofed to layer in Class 700/0 from SEHS which can run here as needed even though these are running BML Brighton Railway Station to Bedford via Gatwick and Luton Airports

yeah, adding it up to York isn’t really that much of a problem until you get to doncaster, adding all that would bring the route up to shy of 190 miles

Would be a release day purchase! Kings Cross station is there and you can drive in to it on SEHS

not sure if people are aware but joethefish (i believe the king of tsw timetables) said there will be AI class 700 on the SEHS route at the section near king’s cross/canal tunnels, which right now is pretty of and thus to have those ai services will probably need a fair rework which could be another reason they’re creating ecml south, maybe the 700 there is a hint, who knows but i rlly hope it is

Would also like for them to be Layered to BML at some point as they run on BML in real life.

I frequently hear that being relayed, but does anyone have a source of DTG mentioning these “memory issues”?

No it won't? They'll just stick the 700 where the 66s sit in-game, underneath the HS1 Bridge.

I was playing the ECML on TSC yesterday. I cannot wait for (with all hope) this route to come over to TSW. I reckon it would be the top selling route by far.

I hope it isn't just the class 700, that would be very boring after a few drives. They could add the EAST COAST or GNER Class 91 and if there aloud. The LNER Class 91 would love to see that.

ok yes but have you seen the canal tunnels area in that bit? the track work is completely off and wouldn’t make any sense so would need at least a bit of redoing

    Kings X - Doncaster is 156 miles,
    Kings X - York is 188½ miles.

Neither would be made in one go.

Kings X to Peterborough is feasible right now. Decent length, potential for decent rolling stock (91's :D) and its literally the most requested route on the forums for years

Can also layer 700s from KX as well as they run TL services from Kings Cross as well.
Might be worth also having St Pancras International (TL) as well. Can have a walking link between there and KX.

Personally, having the routes start at Kings Cross, Moorgate and St Pancras International (TL) would be a great thing. Gives a selection of choices for runs.

Class 66s can be layered in for freights, Jubilee for Railtours, Class 47/45/40/37 for another railtour and potentially Light Locos moves from Nene Valley Railway.
ROG moves with Class 37 is also another good idea for moves with 387s.

even if they don’t include st pancras, i guess it would make more sense in reality terms as drivers more often than not get relieved at finsbury park, rather than st pancras, but of course i’d still love to see it if the roure does get made one day
