For some reason, after I installed Searchlight Simulations 16-645E, the Amps refuse to go up when I increase the throttle. I believe this is an issue with the enhancement pack but I'm out of ideas. The train is practically undrivable and it's pretty irritating. The headlights also don't work on select few of them. And there is no changes to the NS high hoods. This whole pack is full of glitches. Does anyone have any ideas?
For what it's worth, it's an old pack, some of the stuff may not work quite as well as it did when it was first released. Regarding the amp-loading, did you set the isolation switch to run? If not, that would definitely be the reason as to why. I'm not quite sure why the headlights wouldn't be working. Did you make sure that you had the pack enabled on the route you were using? The only NS high-hoods that were officially modded were the ones from the standalone pack (Train Simulator: Norfolk Southern GP38-2 High Hood Loco Add-On on Steam (steampowered.com)). The N-Line Geeps weren't factored in when the pack was developed (the route may not have even existed at the time). Hope this helps! The pack is well worth the money, IMO.
The pack makes the isolation switch and the engine switches completely unavailable. The locomotive still throttles up, the amps just don’t rise. The lights were in fact enabled on the route. Thanks for your response
The isolation switch is controlled with the 'I' key, and the engine start/shutdown I believe is controlled with "Y" and "Shift Y" respectively. Did you get a manual included with your purchase, by any chance?
If you're referring to the manual, they're stored in the "Manual" section of the Railworks install (you can get there by right-clicking Train Sim, selecting the "Properties" option, clicking "Local Files", then "Browse", then double-clicking on "Manuals", it will be labeled as "MLWAudio - GP38-2 - Operators Manual.pdf" If you're referring to the isolation switch, press "I" or "Shift I." It should display a prompt in the upper right-hand corner of your screen that tells you what position the switch is in (or it may ring a bell in these locomotives, I can't recall which).
Referred to the manual. Thank you. Most of the issues have been solved. Although the headlights are still broken on select few of the locomotives.
Strange. I just fired up the route, and they seem fine. Does your route file structure look like this?
Yes, I have all MLWaudio files selected. I'm so confused. I did a fresh install a couple times with the same problem.
