Bit late to the party on this one and tl:dr at the risk of repeating:
    1. Why is the freight timetable so shabby?
    2. Why are the yards and depot at Toton plus Ratcliffe Power Station decorative only?
2a. Are there plans to open up the above in (2) at a later date?
    3. Why is the lineside so bare?
    4. Why are we yet again seeing evidence of that horrible "shiny brown" effect on the trackbed that afflicts so many routes?
    5. Why does the 158 interior look rather crude both in terms of the 3D modelling and the texturing?
    6. Why did the route not go to Sheffield (or Bedford) to provide a decent length run?
    7. Does the HST cab have doors which can remain open in motion, to capture the thrash?

If you're talking about the click clack as the train moves down straight track, then the answer is if the route did not have continuous welded track or not. If it didn't have continuous welded rail in 2019, then you would hear it. If the route was ontinuously welded like most modern routes since the route is set in 2019, then you wouldn't hear the track sounds.

They have said it should release at the same time.

Do the station platforms on this route have stop markers? Such as for 2 car, 4 car and HST formations?

and if not, could it be looked into to add these so we know where along the platform to stop the train?

    thanks

    DTG Matt

The track sign (just after Long Eaton) says 15 mph for the curve to the left, but the Class 158 is approaching a 10 mph speed limit.
Shouldn't the speed limits be identical (either both 10 or 15 mph)?

CWR or not, there will always be some track sounds. Even on straight track, there should be the sound of the train going over frogs, switches, turnouts and crossovers.

" Clickety- Clack " , though, as you say, is largely a thing of the past on 1st world main lines and most branches.

There were audible sounds over point work, which I would hope you would hear on any TSW route nowadays.

I'm saying they said it "should" release not that it will, How often have DTG said something should be released at a certain time and it's inevitably delayed for whatever reason.

It might’ve changed due to maintenance or upgrades to the track.

The DfT also own the rights and license to SWT much like EMT so it's possiblity that SWT gets added in the future

I heard the 158 sounds a few days ago before DTG stream last night on Megasim's YouTube channel when he played it as a teaser, although there was some low background music to the vid I could distinctly hear the grumble of the 158 diesel. That's why I went out and happily pre-ordered.
My only slight problem is the stock looks a bit squeaky clean - maybe there is a train washer tucked away somewhere on the route?
