Didn't know Southeastern has stated put up train sim world 3 adverts in there train station's Saw this at sevenoaks. Anyone else seen these in there local train stations ?
There's an electronic advert board alongside the M25 near Heathrow and a while back I saw a TSW advert on there. Was quite surprised
Huh! So they are adverting a game within the game that they are advertising? If they don't have the game how can they see the adverts? Unless they are playing on a pirated copy? Imagine the reaction of users, if DTG was to use this to advertise a small snippet of a new route or loco prior to it's official announcement? It would just be brilliant!
You realise the post is highlighting an advert on a real life train station platform don't you? And in game transition screen adverts are fairly normal
SouthEastern did SouthEastern Highspeed for passengers for them if they dont have it. They could do that. But there wouldn't be a point.
It wouldn't be cool Because Passengers would not know what it is. It would make sense if they put a advert for SouthEastern Highspeed on the real thing its self, Not some like New Sneak peak of a new route which could be anything like a german route. There wouldn't be a point. and to be honest thats quite stupid. Advertising something which they might not even know what it is for or what the game is it makes sense adv' something which is to do with Southeastern or whatever it is
Sorry about the above. I misread the original post. Thankyou for correcting me, and making me aware of the context of the original post. So I have deleted my initial response as it was well out of context. My apologies to all!
I might be popping into Brum on Monday, as part of my once a week 10mile walk. So I'm keen to see if DGT have advertisements in New Street and Moor Street also. One thing. With the cost of advertising, it explains the £30 LoL!
That's awesome - I knew we were working with Southeastern on these, but didn't realise they were up and running!
This is honestly the best thing I've seen regarding TSW IMO. I always felt like TSW can be a lot more than just a 'game'. Notice the lower part, it says 'You've travelled on our High Speed Trains, now drive them !' and a SE logo. This implies that Southeastern is promoting its services in a way. If DTG utilizes TSW efficiently, it can become a platform where TOCs can promote their services for increasing ridership. Heritage railways can promote their operations ( maybe resurrect long lost locos. they otherwise can't IRL ). TSW will get better visibility & we the players will be delighted with all the content. Congratulations to DTG for getting this industry recognition. Best wishes for a future where this continues with many more operators...
Costs less than posters because you can have loads of adverts on a cycle and they don't need to attend to post them, all done over the mobile network
