As the title may hint at, DTG and Rivet, what are the chances one of you could look at and *fingers crossed* maybe add a scotrail liveried 158 onto the Edinburgh to Glasgow route to bolster out either station's stock?

I know its a slim chance, but its better to ask then not!
Or even just some in the relevant depot. but some more AI traffic would be amazing

Much agree with your suggestion. Out of interest, are ScotRail 158s common at Glasgow Central as it would be nice to see some AI for Cathcart too.

Layers have never included stock in different liveries, so I would assume this is a no. The best we could hope for would be some sort of Edinburgh-Dundee/Fife Circle route which could provide some appropriate Scotrail diesel stock for layering back onto E-G.

Thats because depending on the area, scotrail in this particular case is using a different interior. Its not just the outside paint and go.

Edinburgh to Dundee or the fife circle would be great as could do a 170 as the base train and throw in the ScotRail version of 158 as a second train.

Many years ago I took a photo of a South West Trains 158 at Glasgow Queen Street, it was either on loan or had been transferred to Scotrail. So while not exactly East Midlands Trains the liveries were very similar (Both SWT and EMT were operated by Stagecoach at the time) so it's not beyond the realms of possiblity. I am aware, this is why I was posing it as possiblity :).
I don't even know if its the right 158 for Scotrail? As in, I don't know if the units they have are the same engined as the EMT ones.

To be honest, I'd just want it to be there to make Waverly, Queen Street and the lines around to be less... empty.

I suspect I will be waiting for this route or the borders railway to see the Scot 158!
I would do anything for the bike carrier 153 though!

They use the same engine type, but the interiors are slightly different. Although if simply for AI purposes the interior wouldn't really need modelling (in as much detail at least) but again we've never had an AI only train type.

If you think this is an odd request, imagine sticking a class 40 on the WCL route..

Might as well post that in spanish because it makes no sense to me .

I'm not a train enthusiast, i've just seen 158s at waverly and wanted them to be reskinned and put of a route I'm enjoying

Thankfully there is no way you would see that in a serious train simulator!

The way layers work make it impossible to import a train that is different in any way to the one that exists on its home route- the layer is in effect "borrowing" it wholesale.
