I wonder if someone could advise me. Firstly I do not own a game pass as I am only interested in playing TSW2020 2+3. I have been advised that there is an xbox game pass sale on at present. Do this mean I cannot purchase the discounted route if I do not hold a game pass. Also if I subscribed do you lose your purchase if you unsubscribe to game pass. I only need Horseshoe pass and WCL for a full set. Is it worth getting a game pass just for the discount!!!
No you keep the dlc routes even if bought with a gamepass discount. It's not worth getting game pass if you just need the two routes as the discount is only 10%
Sometimes you can get gamepass for an introductory offer, like one month for a $1. It switches to full price for the 2nd month, but you can cancel before then.
First, Game Pass is valuable only if you play many games. You pay a subscription and gain access to a large catalog of titles, which you can play on your console as long as you are subscribed. If you are no longer subscribed, you can no longer play titles from the Game Pass catalog. Normally, one of the perks of having Game Pass subscription is a 10% discount on any purchase (I think there might be some exceptions). This particular sale offers a larger discount, for a limited time, on a number of DLCs. See more details here. Whether you bought something with 10% or a larger discount, you own that title (game or DLC) regardless of being subscribed to Game Pass. Your best option: if you never had Game Pass, you can avail of a "trial" that is either free (with a code) or costs only one pound/euro/dollar. This will last you one month, but you only need it for the day to buy the discounted titles. NOTE: I have here one of these trial codes for a month 14 days of GamePass Ultimate. If you never had GamePass, this will work, and won't cost you anything. PM me for the code.
Thanks fellas. Had an email that Horseshoe pass is discounted to £13.74 until 25/4. Cannot find what other offers there are though. Cannot also find a £1 trial offer though. I was given this offer when I bought my xbox one a few years ago but never used it.

Microsoft do do up to 50% sales for non gamepass users. Though this seems to be only once a year, and sometimes twice a year.
You probably did not read my post. 1. I posted a link to a page that lists all the DLCs that are discounted in this sale, including several TSW routes and locos. 2. If you never had Game Pass, I can send you a code that will give you a "trial" subscription, and you can buy whatever discounted DLCs you want.
This is a pretty big sale. I didn't know they did gamepass only sales. Picked up Horseshoe curve and am eyeing the C40-8W. 35 - 60% off on DLC for console, we don't get these kinds of sales very often.
Thank you jthornalley. I think I will wait for a better offer as purchasing game pass for a month means I only save about £3 for one product, doesn’t seem worth it. I will wait for their “once in a decade” blue moon sale. I can play it on steam anyway.
