Sorry, but it is the first time i find so many bugs in five minutes, it is horrible...
wipers does not clean the glass, false reflection in the glass, there is no shedes at cabin when the train pass under a bridge, passenger in front of the cabin´s door does not let me go out...
i had played 5 minutes (literally) and i finished the mission... (mission, not timetable.. this is worst...)

I am very angry... it is a shame...

Am on series x. Am glad i didnt get it today likes. After edinburgh to glasgow shambles on release, no thanks. I did wanna get this route, but held back cause i knew there would be multiple issues as per normal. No matter who does a route, it really needs to be tested properly, not just a quick woo ha on pc.

There are always too many problems with releases, this is becoming embarrassingly common, both with DTG and third party developers, except TSG.

After raising prices the quality control has gone down, and also the patches arrive later and later (more than a month since Linke Rheinstrecke and still nothing) and also when they arrive they are practically useless as has happened with NYT.

It seems that their only concern is to release more and more routes and DLC without caring about anything else and asking us for more and more money but offering very little in return. In my opinion lately they are not worth gamers spending their hard earned money buying at full price defective products.

Not the worst. That’s Rivet’s WCL scenery and loco for me.

Unlike Rivet, I feel Skyhook will work hard to correct the inadequacies soon.

Absolutely this. If they were that concerned about quality then it wouldn't have been released in this state to start with.

The first scenario I did in the 158 I stopped at a station to get the collectable and couldn't get back in the cab cause 2 passengers were stuck in the doorway shouldn't happen on launch tbh

That’s all so sad to hear, the preview stream looked quite solid. Wish more routes came out with the polish of Niddertalbahn… it should really be that way since we pay lots of money for each DLC.

Door control panel buttons are wrong on the 158 the switch labelled signal closes the doors and pressing close sounds the signal also when closing the doors this way all the doors close when local doors should stay open until I press local close

I've driven a couple of scenarios and liked it. Glad I pre-ordered. Only bug I encountered were wipers not always clearing rain/snow from the windscreen, I'm sure it will soon get patched. Sounds are good which is half the battle. You've got to watch out for track crossovers now and manage your speed on them, or the passengers will get thrown about a bit!
I don't worry about jumping out the cab and running around for collectables - well real drivers wouldn't do it would they? Be more realistic if we could take a swig of pop in the cab!

Glad you are enjoying it, I'm really torn and was planning on buying sooner rather than later, and it's good to get a wide range of views.

We regulars on the forums do generally have a glass half empty outlook on DLC releases myself included.

Well it's the first dlc I've pre-ordered from DTG so I took a bit of a risk, but I have enjoyed some of the scenarios, I haven't tried the timetable yet. I don't know the area but the trains are good and sound the business. We've been brainwashed to accept shorter routes on TSW3 than on TSC though haven't we?

I like the route, most of the bugs will be fixed, for me the main issues are the timetable and really the length

I need to watch a few streams tomorrow before I take the plunge.

Ive been swayed by the forums and steam reviews before not to buy routes and then once Ive finally picked them up generally Ive been happy with my purchase.

Yes I agree I have purchased routes after bad "reviews" and enjoyed them. I find most routes have many positive points I can only think of a couple I have really regretted purchasing.

I did take the plunge early on this one, which I don't tend to do now but I will probably stick with it, if we had more UK diesel routes like it, I probably would have waited to see what happened with the timetable or any DLC as it really does need it in my opinion. However there aren't that many UK diesel routes and the 158 is a joy to behold.

I don't buy UK content, but this is bad. With the increased price of the DLC's we should get less bugs on day 1. NYT and Linke Rheinstrecke got some issues and we are still waiting for fixes, it's too much time. I understand there can be a few bugs on release with the famous "deadline for release" but we need a hotfix policy from DTG.

Cane Creek has something... once per few months I just take dirty train at dawn and enjoy the prairie...

Thought I noticed that on the glass, you can see a cloudy blue sky in it on stream, even though there was nothing like that in the sky. How is that even possible if they're using the same engine for everything and its never occurred on flat windows before? I mean at least I don't recall noticing it. That's one thing but the guard button functions being the wrong way round is inexcusable. They noticed that days before release, what were they doing to fix it in the mean time?

More money for reduced quality. Bit of a shambles mate.

Sadly that's very true re. the reviews. As usual there are some anti DTG trolls with a grudge reviewing on steam. Some of the points are valid of course, others are not. People seem to love bashing devs on steam unless the game is really fashionable and outstanding in their eyes, in other words lots of mindless violence and blood and gore!

Where were they when Niddertalbahn was released? Isn't it possible... maybe... theoretically... that recent releases were just bad? Apart from Niddertalbahn, I think the last truly good release was TSW3 core routes. You can have fun with a badly reviewed route, just like you can enjoy a bad movie, that doesn't necessarily make it a good product.

As I recall, Niddertalbahn has a bug that means you can't use safety systems from one end of the train without having a keyboard to use the shortcut to enable them. That is pretty serious for a German route, where safety systems are a big part of the immersion. When raised, people point out 'you can just use a keyboard', and 'it doesn't detract from the route', which are both perfectly reasonable things to say, but they are saying that simply because they don't want to criticize TSG, that same issue in a DTG route would have spawned 3 open letters within 24 hours, there'd already be 9 threads asking where the patch is.

Also, without wishing to go on, when Niddertalbahn was well received, almost everyone here was sure to be clear their praise went solely to TSG, as the third party that made this, when MML is perceived as bad, people are sure that almost all their criticism goes to DTG, despite a third party having made it. This kind of very childish playschool mentality is rife on this forum. We spent 3 weeks with people insisting the sounds of the 158 and HST were key to the success of the route, insisting DTG and Skyhook would get it wrong, and yet when those things are pretty much perfect... Silence. Nothing. A footnote compared to the much more pressing issue of not being able to sit in a seat on the HST, or the buttons on the door closing panel being the wrong way around.

As ever it was, it will be.

Conversely if you went off the reviews and some quarters of the fourms youd think Edinburgh Glasgow was a bad route, but it's actually a lot of fun and good quality.

As the lack of bad reviews for TSG was mentioned, here are my thoughts on why that is.

The difference between TSG and other developers is, in my opinion, communication.

Yes the PZB issue is a pain, especially on console, but TSG immediately acknowledged it and are generally very forthcoming acknowledging feedback and explaining why things are the way they are.

Also the general quality of TSG releases is just far ahead of all the other routes I‘ve seen this year.

So combined with good communication and general high quality, they get good reviews even when things are not perfect.

On the other hand there is this release of MML with no feedback that I‘ve seen from the Devs other than some beta testers saying the bugs were known about. Along with that they have a bad history of poor quality from the DB BR 187 which was extremely poor. It still has bad sounds and incorrect headlamps with no feedback from Skyhook whatsoever. It’s easy to see where the bad reviews come from.

I am as positive as I can be about TSW3 because I think it can be really good.

    however.

midland is just too full of bugs. This stuff should have been tested properly and not included on the release version of the route.

Appears London side of Nottingham there’s at least one silent AWS horn that dump the brake on you irrespective of traction.

there are the silly mistakes like the Doors Released When Lit light being on permanently.

unable to sit in an HST seat.

the 158 has the wrong drivers directional switch in it.

the 158 doesn’t have the correct horn. The 158 horn is quite distinctive.

1D02 2+6 HST drive this train from Derby to Leicester - it starts at Nottingham!!

    No training and no introduction!!

I find it quite insulting to their customer base that a route not only gets released in this condition but that DTG didn’t feel the need to say that there are some bugs and that a patch would be issued.

Here we have a route with potential. But DTG has failed to make the grade because it’s clear it’s been a rushed release. What this tells me is that they needed the money asap and that potentially their finances aren’t great.

I agree with you charging full price for a route that has quite a few bugs isn't
acceptable it's not just the mml it's others there can't of been much testing if it's in that state hopefully something gets done

With such poor quality and with the knowledge that you have to wait months or even years for possible fixes, it's quite normal that customers will sooner or later run away. That doesn't make the finances any better. ;)

I had a good laugh watching the TrainSimTV video to Nottingham with so many suicidal maniacs standing on the track at the station!!!

This route was delayed and should never have been released in its current condition. Surely you would have thought that the beta testers would have spotted these errors!!!

I agree that when paying £30 for routes recently we should be getting better quality.
