Ok. This is a random one. However I do need to ask, do you know what Five Nights At Freddy's is? No? Well quick rundown. It is a horror game consisting of 4 characters and you are stuck in a security office in a pizzeria called Freddy Fazbears Pizza. You have to survive from 12 AM to 6 AM. (Not in irl time ofc). So Blumhouse announced the FNAF movie just as fnaf started getting more popular in 2015. However after 8 long years we finally have a release date. That date being: October 27th this year. I am so so excited for this movie and I can't wait to give out my thoughts.
If I'm honest I would've expected there to be a release date at the end of an upcoming trailer if there was one kinda how Security Breach's release date was announced at the State Of Play.
TBH I agree. One minute it's a small game with barely any fans next thing you know it's one of the biggest things out there
yeah but also, Minecraft is a open world sand box game and FNAF is a horror game where you have to survive a group of evil animatronics for 5 nights. I Can't really see how a film could be based on these games.. Both films could only really be watched by those who have played that specific game (or series of games) and thus fully understand the lore in them unlike other game-based films such as Dungeons and Dragons aswell as Uncharted where really anyone can watch them and fully understand them without having to play the games.. One thing is that both films are to be live action which I can understand for FNAF but for a blocky game such as Minecraft, that is gonna be tough.. Side note, I just think that this new Barbie film (starring Margot Robbie) is a bit silly IMO
I played it on Game Pass and personally found it one of the most boring games there is. Until the monster got me that is
I might go to a cinema although my TV has Peacock which it'll air on the same day so I might just have a movie night in with a few friends or something. Haven't decided. Or I could do both
Has there ever been a decent movie based off a video game? I remember assassins creed. The games were great the movie blows. Same as TR and RE. Hope this one sets the benchmark
TV Shows tend to work better (demonstrated by the likes of The Last of Us and such). Apparently the Mario Movie is quite a good adaptation (the story in the games is very linear and consistent, so suits a movie format as much as the games), the recent Sonic Movies are good films and do a really good job of bringing a proper story in an otherwise - like mario - basic franchise. On the flipside, there have been horrible attempts at movie/TV Adaptations, such as the Hitman films or the Halo TV series. Both caused by the fact that the games are very player-driven, and the Main Character (Chief more so than 47) is supposed to be a blank slate that the player projects themself onto. The Halo series botched this by making the Chief remove his helmet and tried to built a more human personality. The Hitman movies were just terrible. Honourable Mentions go to Detective Pikachu, Wreck-it-Ralph and The Angry Birds Movies for being quite creative with the source material and making it a unique thing. I count Wreck-it-Ralph as it's based on Arcade Games in general. Other than that, however, modern adaptations have been generally middle of the road.
Ha Ha.. You've got that plus Minecraft Earth (2019), Minecraft Dungeons (2020) AND Minecraft Legends (2023)
That's techically still Minecraft. I was listing the Minecraft spinoff games that Mojang had produced recently. There's also Minecraft: Educational Edition but I don't count that as a spinoff as it uses the main game
derek#2931 Don't know if you are excited for ruin dlc but if u are then SECURITY BREACH TV HAS UPDATED!!!!! https://www.securitybreachtv.com/
The same ytuber just did a video (on pc) and if you hover your mouse over the thing it says "Something Is Coming, Something Is Near" as well as a load of other crazy messages.
Why did that make me laugh so hard. I've seen that so many times but somehow that genuinely had me there.
But I really wonder how they are going to represent William Afton (but the fact, that he is played by shaggy, is amazing!)
