Brace the country side and wizz through the bridges and towns of the route and work hard with the ROG class 37 and EWS class 66.
Excellent idea overall but where is your common origin point because the game uses it if they were to merge these routes the old fashioned way. On TSC some routes could not merge with each other the known examples or Northeast Corridor Philadelphia New York cannot merge with North Jersey coastline and on a German route it's Linke Rheinstrecke Koblenz Köln with the southern section being Koblenz Bingen Mainz Frankfurt am Main Hbf.
My question here is why focus so much on MML in the first place? It would make sense for the existing to extend up to Sheffield as what we have is so short, but why would we take away from DTG resources that could be used to give a route on the other main lines? You could for example have Peterborough to Doncaster and Milton Keynes to Stafford and then you’ve got the three main lines that radiate north of out of London covered. Am just suggesting from a commercial point of view you’d not want complaints that you’re being too MML focussed. There’s already complaints about too many UK routes out there. The concept of this suggestion is good, I just don’t think DTG etc would run with it because of it being too MML centric.
Dtg are focusing on a lot of British mainline currently - we have the blackpool branch coming soon, the peak forest I think was on a mainline? Obviously we have other mainline that need including (SWML, ECML, CML) but yeah, we need some more non British routes, albeit I personally don't care for most other countries railways - Japan would be amazing though.
I’ve bought a couple of non UK routes however the appeal is limited for me. Whilst I like the concept of developing the MML more I’ve just read a very interesting suggestion for London Tilbury & Southend. Now there is a line that has never really appealed to me before, it’s just a line ‘that’s there’ but there is something about it that is different and appeals if made into a route for TSW. So the question is should there be a wide variety of locations instead of just focusing on one main line?
Yes I agree but once they have lots of lines complete with lots of licences they should focus on upgrading routes such as MML which would come in the future.
Yes from a business pov it would be better for them to make different routes but It would get lots of sales as it would be sold seperate to expand MML to peoples liking.
The origin point varies between routes like phase 5 would be kettering and phase 4 would be St Pancras ect
I have two things to say to this: 1. We should get other routes and regions in the game before exploring more of the MML. 2. The Price isn't for you to decide.
The problem with creating routes from different parts of the uk is the lack of traffic. Once you start in a new region, at most you get 1 new rolling stock which means there isn't a lot of traffic. And the only way you can get more rolling stock and busy timetables is to create more than 1 route in the same region.
Your source? Sure UW is in the partner program but there's no announcements, it's not on the roadmap and they've been working mostly on TSC. There's nothing saying there making a Japanese content for tsw.
Dtg made an announcement in an article that uw joined and bringing their Asian expertise into tsw. It's either Chinese or Japanese. That's all they have created in tsc and since they joined tsw recently, they are making Asian content. If you even look at the recent roadmap articles and stuff, uw are creating a whole new track type to allow their route to happen. Obviously not on the roadmap but it doesn't mean they're not making anything. They also have to still learn unreal engine so it's going to be a few years
I know its for the future as I stated Also This is my rough guess and estimation so don't get angry at me jeez
It's still not our place to suggest routes come at certain prices, or try and make the decision for them. And that wasn't angry at all... You won't want to know what is.
I think with everything else in the world being expensive it would be nice if DLCs for games or not that expensive
