just got back to TSW2 after a year away but now half the routes just cough out when trying to load.... is TSW2 dead????
Let's try this again please. In the vain hope of offering you some level of support. What platform? What does cough out mean (anyone have a clue)? What route? What actually happens? I'm pleased you're not lost anywhere with this level of detail. "SOS, I've woke up lost, I'm on earth "
I did say "route" not "scenario" it dont load even when run as admin... most of the other are the same
Right I'm with you. This can be a few things. 1. This sometimes happens with an out of memory, however if you've played routes before it's unlikely. 2, It could be a bug but again unlikely across multiple routes. Have you verified your steam files for the game, right click it in steam, properties and verify. There's been a huge amount of updates and if you've missed one it can scupper things. Hope that helps
ta, yes done everything I've learnt over 12 years simming, today I deleted the whole lot and redown loaded 70 gig of the whole game plus redownloading NTP as well... Funny West Somerset runs a treat. I have gone back to "Train Sim World" at least it plays. Ran as admin too
When you said "half the routes" which half of them are crashing the UE4 engine? Just a simple checklist: Graphics card drivers up to date? No ini file edits? (these will persist even after a reinstall) No mods in your TSW2 DLC folder?
No go with anything, is there a way to get a complete new install or do I have to open a new account and repurchase? (sometimes a route will open with the 'start' scenario but if I go to change and open a different one it crashes... no pattern followed.}
Put in a support ticket to DTG and they can guide you through the steps to troubleshoot your issue. It may take a while for them to respond but they are probably your best bet.
well got it all back working OK.... I bought a new $3000 computer. It has 10 cores instead of the old ones 4 BUT the frame rate is still under 20fps.. Just have to decrease settings, at least I can play it again
Have you tried to verify files/ steam cache? I played both these routes the other day and had no issues.
