Fair statement. It is also fair to say the US only has 5 passenger routes in the game, 2 which are horribly represented . We have to wait a year for one passenger route. And from the last one we got, you can see where we feel the US content doesn’t get the same. Treatment. But anyways you have a lot of incoming content. Congrats.
it may also be because of course dtg is based in the uk,thus most people who are devs are probably from here too. i can understand it probably is a bit rubbish waiting ages for a passenger route each time as a player who prefers passenger runs myself
Modern UK fans have only really started getting AC routes, I do agree though, need a bit of vintage BR
Don’t get me wrong I love UK content. BML is my favorite route in the game follow by SEHS. Bakerloo’s timetable is amazing with trains every 3 minutes during rush hour.. even the new routes BCC and Edinburg are good. I can’t wait for the 700/0 and hope we get 700/1 in the future for the BML. Lots of exciting content coming
i really am rooting for those two in modern eras ESPECIALLY the west coast mainline. The east coast is nice and all but the WCML really has my heart
Does DTG have the licensing needed for the trains on ECML and WCML? I guess it depends on what year is set
they have the avanti logo for west cost and wmr logo too, so don’t see why the other sub brand of west midlands trains (lnwr) couldn’t be obtained. as for ecml not sure abt lner but ik that they have the gtr lisence
they have the GTR license (which operates GN), they just need LNER (which is government owned) , Arriva Grand Central and First Hull Trains/LUMO (we already have GWR which is owned by first). WCML we have WMT and Avanti. Just need LNWR and caledonian sleeper and Transport for Wales. For both we need Scotrail(which we already have), Trans Pennine express and northern (for ECML/WCML North), As well as cross country for birmingham and the ECML north of York. and with those we basically have a complete ECML/WCML
i doubt that grand central/hull trains/lumo will be included in an ecml add on. it will most likely be thameslink, great northern and lner only which makes most sense
oh, i’m talking about the ECML as a whole, if dtg wanted to pick a section they would need to include some of the licenses
Yeah, I'd be surprised if we don't get more Underground Lines eventually. It seems as though most of the assets are already available from Bakerloo as far as trains, terrain, etc. Maybe licensing is a snag, I really don't know. Speaking of, I visited London for the first time last week and was super impressed with the Tube. I'd totally welcome any future lines in TSW3.
Elizabeth Line was actually one of the few lines I didn't ride last week, so fair enough. But the ones I did (Piccadilly, Jubilee, Hammersmith and City, District, Circle are the ones I recall) had some very familiar-looking stops. Oh, and the Overground rides I took seemed mostly, well... overground. So not much in common there.
the elizabeth line isn’t actually a tube line and thus is very different to really any actual tube line. the most it’s similar to is the jubilee and victoria and even then it’s not really comparable
I hope its something to do with birminghan new st but probably too soon for another route to layer that.
Im hoping DTG wont do the 86/87. Given recent releases *cough 103 cough* it would better be someone else. Someone who will take the time and love to build it properly.
dtg created that emu believe it or not, they did a rlly good job of implementing the AP sounds and detailing it in general. i’m really hoping the 700 is of the same quality if not better as it’s one of my fav trains personally and they know how badly the community has been asking for this
I remember Waggonz posting on facebook an image of the cab of their 87 using Unreal Engine 4, and I have to say it looked splendid. Although I doubt it would happen for quite a while, hopefully one day we could see it ported into TSW.
sat infront of one as we speak they’re really nice trains, a driver let me set a unit up and also do a brake test and it was the coolest thing, i just hope i can do the same virtually at least with a gsmr
IF and it is if this speculated route is Cardiff to Bristol Temple Meads it will be very interesting to see how realistic they manage to make the station. The beauty of it is they could make the GWR 43’s available and add the 800’s. This would be a great route and I would certainly buy the route. DTG would be able too put 165/6 as well as 43’s, 800’s and so,etching from yesteryear like 33’s service between Cardiff and Bristol to Portsmouth Harbour or Weymouth.
May I just point out that there isn't complete electrification from Cardiff to Bristol. Electrification currently only goes from Cardiff to London via Bristol Parkway. All lines south down the Filton Bank and into Temple Meads are unelectrified, so a Bristol - Cardiff route couldn't be an AC route as of current (unless you have the route do Cardiff - Parkway, but that'd be a massive missed opportunity).
how can it run dmus as standard if it’s an ac only route? i don’t understand so many peoples suggestions which don’t actually fit the id code
the cardiiff bristol is elecfiled so electric trains can run on it also the 166 43 and class 158 could layer
Unless its done to Bristol Parkway and Temple Meads isn't included, or is set slightly fictionally/ in the future, when BTS is?
They can do Swindon to Cardiff, 67 miles and 6 stations, mainly emu with HST/166/150387 and 158 layers only new train is the 800
Yeah, that's always a possibility as I said, but I feel just going to Parkway is a missed opportunity. And yeah, they could do it set in the future, but that'd probably complicate things. Would love to see it in TSW some day, just done right. As I said, 90% of the line is electrified, but the section from the 4 way junction in Filton, down the Filton bank and into Temple Meads isn't, and I just feel Bristol - Cardiff would start at Temple Meads, and end in Cardiff Central.
I guess we got it all wrong. no ECML, no lower MML, no WCML, and looks like the 700/0 will remain in just the SEHS for now
another empty big station sigh, with only 12 stations as well, DTG continue to release absolutely overpriced DLC with probably only one train and a plethora of bugs
£20 is hardly overpriced. And you can't possibly know that this route has a "plethora of bugs" Get a grip.
i’m going off dtgs past 5 releases (SEHS,BCC,Bremen-Goldenburg, NYT and Boston Sprinter) all routes full of glaring bugs. I didn’t know the route was £20, it might not be so overpriced after all, but it’s still underwhelming imo
