I am having the same problem with this one. The train does not seem to be set up right. Watch the videos on it and my train has no blue bar for train brake pressures. Unlike the videos I have watch, when I set the autobrake nothing happens there is no blue bars. Train Brakes Theory.jpg

You need to cut in the automatic brake and set the engine's independent brake to lead.

Was not easy as they don't let you give you much time to change anything but I did. Makes no difference, still nothing. Train Brakes Theory 2.jpg

Did you actually move the brake lever to release position?

Tried twice moving the automatic brake to release first, set to cut in, and blue bar appear in the display, but this not solved the problem and tutorial still incomplete

Of course I did. After doing all the things the game does not tell me to do to set it up, I would have to be braindead not to do the one thing the game does tell me to do. Just saying.

Wish I could assist ya, I only have an XB 1X and PC and I ran through the routes with my daughters help on XB and PC and it's working here, my only idea would be uninstall the Sand patch add-on route &Loco DLC, reboot the console and reinstall it and reboot again like you would on a PC. That is if you have not done so already? Hope ya get it worked out.

I am having the same problem on PC on TSW 4. I cannot get past the initial application even if I quickly release the brake before the first cutscene then cut in and set to lead and save before applying the brake.

Okay, I'm in the game now, I will run the training scenarios shown in the images, please let me know which one you can't complete.

Well, in TSW4 I was able to set the brakes in one scenario, and in the train Brake Theory scenario, there was almost nothing that I could do, that is without the RailDriver, and even with that, it was not working as intended. The Train Brake Theory Scenario is something new, I do have that option for a scenario in TSW3 at all in the sand patch with the AC4400CW.

I will post a few screenshots. And get the video edited as soon as I can. I will try TSW2 also to see what training scenario options are there and will see what is or is not happening there.

Can only be completed on PC using God Mode (ts2.dbg.CompleteCurrentObjective).

I’ve just noticed this,,,so I’m trying it myself as I have completed all route and scenarios etc on SPG on TSW2,,,so just trying it now but does look like a bug as it’s freezing,,,I can’t even leave my seat. Nothing. I’m trying set it directly instead of listening to the guy.
I’ll post my results in a min.

That is a messed up way of completing it on PC and as a new TSW Player to boot, but console players = Oh Well See ya don't wanna be ya, Buh bye see ya.

Even in TSW2, I had a problem completing the 5-minute-long scenario AC4400CW, where you have ZERO choices to move til the disembodied voice stops talking as you are told to enter the train. Something got Fubard, I just looked again, and the "Train Brakes: Theory" scenario is not in the training module of TSW3. This is new for TSW4? Nor is it in TSW2

It's been there since TSW / TSW2020 (The UI looked much more professionally styled and just better imho)

You can make it, and with gold medal, but you will need God mode.. Use God mode to complete the 1srt 2 objectives and when it asks you to move to the second train, just uncouple the locomotive from the rolling stock and drive it forward and back twice (you will have to switch the path) - maximum speed is 15 mp/h (use 4x speed up time to make it faster) after a while you will have the 2100 points. then just move to the second train and again use God mode to complete all the remaining objectives.. And you will complete the training module with gold..

Not ideal, but it's the only way as it is bugged

So then something got screwed up when the TSW3 DLCs were transitioned to TSW4!
But it's odd that I do not have that one training module in the list of modules for TSW3 or TSW2.
I verified my Steam files, but only one was not and it was re-acquired, redid the verification and all is okay now. Yet that one training module is still not in my TS3 game.
And yes that module list does look better than the way TSW2 looks now, well the way it is now feels more complicated. Too much searching.
Hopefully, this helps the OP and others on console to work things out as best they can, considering they can't use Godmode.

I just fired up TSW2 to have a look, and I don't have that one either. Was it renamed maybe?

There are a lot of options in that tool. Where is the one to speed up time?

Okay, this training scenario is Really Fubard never mind Bugged, Well I just ran through it a few times now in TS4 and somehow I completed it. Not sure how or what I did but, I will run it again and see what how why it worked and record it with the full Hud.
This shows completed with 0 AP:)
    The Train Brake Theory-v1.png

After taking a bit of time to read through this thread from the start, I completely glossed over my post here back on 2023 May 5, Somehow I just completely dismissed that post, I need to slow down a bit, doing too many tasks at once, surprised I wasn't called out on it as scatterbrained :) :o:love::D

I posted a reply stating that I and my daughter tried this on PC and my XB 1X and it worked, I'm unsure now if it was recorded. But that is not even the question nor would it matter. It's still the issue now that it's not part of my and or others' games as if it was removed completely and is only in TS4 now. Or do others have it in their training AC4400CW module list in TS2 & 3?

No need to be sorry, with the info provided by all, it may just assist those playing on a console, and with a little luck it may just get fixed :|
