Hello engineers. Once upon a time, when I was just starting to ride trains, I was decidedly not satisfied with mouse and keyboard control. As a result, with experience, I have come to a somewhat universal, in my opinion, device configuration, which will greatly improve my gaming experience. I would like to share my own management setup that I use on my devices. This allows minimal use of the mouse and keyboard when controlling the train. Maybe someone has a similar device or any others. In any case, it's just an exchange of experience. To implement such a setup, I use the program JoyToKey or similar. I recommend this one, as I use it in a lot of other simulators and with other devices. It can be downloaded for free, for review and later purchased (only $ 7). Of course, the simulator's support for devices other than Raildriver would greatly improve the situation for users, but unfortunately we have to improvise) I experimented with Saitek X56 devices, but eventually settled on HEAVY EQUIPMENT SIDE PANEL and my old Logitech G27 steering wheel. I certainly don't use the steering wheel myself. It is possible that I will help someone who is in search, like me, once. In any case, you also can share your device settings.
If I had this setup I would have accelerator pedal as make train go faster and brake pedal as stop train going as fast
