Does anyone know if midland mainline is being updated? And also if Sheffield and class 222 should be added

Yes. There’s a big pinned thread- Jane from skyhook has been keeping us updated in that thread.

No route extensions will come, they explained in the Showcase that adding track to a baked route is too much of a headache to realistically undertake. Hence why the power station loop and goods yards were added at launch, despite not being used.

As for the 222..... it's not on the roadmap.

Gut feeling tells me 222 could eventually come as dlc Sheffield would be nice though it’s possible it could just be more services on existing lines

They say a lot of things, I wouldn’t necessarily believe it all with such unyielding faithfulness!

Skyhook have explicitly said their initial MML release is a seed for a wider network. Remember how DTG said that it wouldn't be possible to merge routes in TSC until someone (outside of DTG) did it then all of a sudden it was, the same goes for 64-bit. Definitely not possible then suddenly it was.

Just don’t take everything that is said as gospel. A bit of critical thinking never hurt anyone.

ps I’m not sure what it being ‘baked’ has got to do with it. DTG have access to all the routes in their ‘unbaked’ (or unpackaged) state in their editor, so unless I’m mistaken that is an absolute red herring.
