I think this is one of the best DLC for TSC. I wouldn't be surprised if I saw it in the next 12 months for TSW3/4... I do hope its coming!! Do you think the release in TSC spurned the creation of North London Lines? In any case I would love to see GEML to Ipswich with those branches. It is Epic!!!! Does anyone have any video footage of recent years and are the Class 360s still on task? Would love the Class 90s..... So much has been done south of London.... time for a route north? It is one of the best routes of original Train Simulator.
It may well be one of the best, but not because of the route, because the scenarios you can download for it are some of the most true to life. The route itself is fairly "normal" I WOULD be surprised to see the route to Ipswich, and loads of branches, and loads of new train assets in TSW No, I don't think the TSC version "spurned" anything in TSW. The two teams are very loosely linked, and the only thing they'd share in this instance would be the reference materials. The assets in TSC and TSW come from different formats once you've got the base article Recent footage : See YouTube So much has been done, OF LONDON. Plenty of other areas of the country could be done. We've only got one train running through Birmingham, the Leicester area has loads of traffic and variety, Edinburgh and Glasgow have plenty of possibilities. We've got hardly any freight, nothing in Wales, one train that does 125mph... None of that will be satisfied with the GEML (which last I checked had a max of 105)
A retro GEML with 308’s, 309’s and diesel hauled InterCity services would be interesting but modern era would not be top of my wish list. Besides as noted above, there is little to differentiate this route from other commuter centric routes in TSW, compare to getting something like Cardiff to Swansea, Cambrian Coast, Fort William to Mallaig etc.
From the 80/00s with Class 90s and Class 360. Great reply!! Not that I like it much haha but make some good points. I heard Leicester-London route is next from Skyhook??? Possibly.... But you want the local lines around there-Leicester right? I remember the Trent Valley WCML route has loads of freight as that is where UK's industrial area is most centric? Good to hear your opinion! I think there are 4 routes south of London, but nothing from London heading north. I do hope for WCML over Shap too in that 80s period or was it 70s. TSC route is so good! With the tap changers....
My "dream goal" would actually be non-constrained consecutive routes... ie a network. In this case we have Leicester to Derby and Nottingham, so if they did Leicester to Bedford (50 miles) and Bedford to St Pancras (another 50 mile but much more complex timetable) and managed to get the timetable to be automatically generated so they don't need 6 timetables to populate these three routes then that would be great Then go north Then West See what I mean?
If this were to happen it would have been done as the whole route to Norwich or broken into parts London Liverpool Street to Ipswich and then Ipswich to Norwich. To merge both routes the common origin has to be London Liverpool Street otherwise the situation with train Sim classic North Jersey coastline Northeast Corridor Philadelphia to New York inability to merge
