Hi everyone. I was looking through the dlc list for tsc and I saw that some of them did not have a quick drive compatible description. For example, the class 67 and 325 does not have the description so if I were to get an AP ep for them, would I also have to buy the route they run on to get the mod to work as well?
Quick Drive Compatibility is just whether or not in include "PreLoads" in the download. As such, the APEP for both includes "PreLoads" so they can be used as Quick Drive Locos. Also, you can create your own "PreLoads" with either the Consist Editor (Known to not work consistently) or using RW/TS Tools. Note: PreLoads are consist files used to tell TS the order and orientation of coaches in a pre built consist.
Just to clarify a bit. Quick drives are just scenarios in the end, absolutely every train is QD compatible. What the term actually means is whether it installs those preloads - named consists - so that you can pick them from the menu easily. When they don't, you can still create a consist by pressing Custom, Edit, any one of your buttons and just adding power and carriages. At the very worst, you would go into the editor and place them in a scenario. For me that's what works, given the size of my installation. It's actually easy, just look up some Youtube video. There is another app that might come in handy, LocoSwap. So you can use your preferred train in almost any scenario. In any event, both Class 67 DLC I played has QD consists. (It also comes with some routes, those may not have any.) So you might just have a broken cache.
When you say "I was looking through the dlc list for tsc and I saw that some of them did not have a quick drive compatible description" do you mean on the Steam Store or in the game? If its just the loco does not have a picture in the game to select then just ignore it or create your own.
I went to my RSC Class67pack 01 and noted a PreLoad folder with extras that had been installed. So I removed the PreLoad folder to the Desktop Then I removed the DLC by unticking the box in the Steam Client When it was finished I re-tIcked the box and let it put it back with a new Pre-Load folder This is what you get by Default with the loco - the Steam page does not always have the full info. Correct. This is the Class 67 EWS add-on, which really goes hand in hand with the Diamond Jubilee. I figured another possible confusion - the lists are sorted by character code, not "naturally", so the 67 is pretty much the last of the classes, well after 101, 2xx, 3xx and 4xx. It's one of my concerns as well in my tagging system, not to mention Class 8 vs Class 08 (because I could just force a leading zero to make sure Class 37 is not showing up between 365 and 375, suggesting it's an OHLE electric class - it's 037, 0 means diesel).
