Nearly 3 weeks ago TSW3s May roadmap has been Announced and the UK route which was by DTG only didn’t seem to be Preston to Blackpool north for the overhead route and in a 2010s-2020s era. So, the Leaks were False in terms of that one for the Class 319 or 331. They have revealed a short Manchester Piccadilly to Glossop & Hadfield Route which was disappointing to hear, literally all hopes up for a modern mainline route what could have been special to us or Really cool. But no Hearing that it’s featured with the class 323 Again! From BCC in a new livery with a new route expansion. Now for Just trains Mystery route code, it says on the 4th letter on the code which was ‘F’ that we will be getting a diesel mechanical loco. Similar to like a 101, where you change gear. And the 7th letter was ‘5’ to what era it was set in ‘1951-1990. So which is around 3/4 1950s-full 1960s- full 1970s- full 1980s and 1/4 1990s. And you didn’t get British locos or units which automatic doors or nice hearing motors on diesels or electrics, all what you could hear from them is just a not very detailed sound from engines. The passenger coaches were slam door. Until the class 158 and class 323. So, the leak is still on the look out, for suggestions it might be Preston to Blackpool north in the modern era of the code ‘5’ 1951-1990, where some class 101s or class 110s ran from services to Manchester or Liverpool on that line. And there diesel mechanical DMUs, so maybe there creating the north Fylde line in an iconic version where Blackpool north station wasn’t refurbished until like the 2000s and just had the same building material after it stopped having steam locomotives. I found this picture on the internet what looks like a Class 110 to me with mk2 coaches on the western platform of Blackpool north, and that’s what I’m saying right now. Do you think it will be that one or will they just do another diesel mechanical Loco like a 105 or 103 on a different line somewhere else in the country?. And you know what if it is, I can cope with it in the old days, because we have some stations in tsw located in the north like northern transpennie with Manchester, Huddersfield, dewsbury and Leeds what haven’t been refurbished until 2000s what have semaphore signals and all that. And they have the old British rail blue diesels like the 47, 45, 40, 08 and 101 which was set in the 1980s.
I've wondered about this too. Some kind of stock overlap with the peak district route with steam/diesel maybe (104?).
It would be nice if that is the case. A 104 would be the ideal choice of DMU too, in terms of reskin and layering on to PFR.
I saw another picture on the class 104 in green livery and the word on the destination board says Shrewsbury, maybe it’s a Shropshire route In the old days. I don’t know they could have used them all over the place in different liveries of them. I wasn’t alive when they were in service.
Not sure the 104’s were that common at Shrewsbury. Though they could turn up on Birmingham to Leicester and Norwich services.
There’s a thread dedicated to this: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/the-1st-just-trains-route-speculation-discussion.68995/
Ok but where is the letter that it says its 40 miles or are they just making a suggestion? Because from Preston to Blackpool north is about 16 or 17 miles and if it was also coming with Blackpool south as-well it would be about 15 miles so it’s coming up to 32 miles as a total.
That class 110 had probably worked through from Leeds as they were only really allocated to Bradford Hammerton Street or Leeds Neville Hill, save for the odd vehicle which escaped. Newton Heath had a allocation of class 104's for the Blackpool services, they were blue with a white band. Notice, not a class 101 in sight either, the other units are Derby class 108's.
The 40 miles was mentioned the roadmap articles. I think 26 miles of scenery laid with 20 more to go on the recent roadmap I think.
The route is over 40 miles long, (47, if I recall correctly), and was stated in the last roadmap article. And as pointed out, that thread was created to help organise the clues and figure it out. Preston - Blackpool is mentioned in the OP there, and throughout the thread. Thanks.
Erm, what? The EGS Leak simply listed 'PresBlkpool' as a working file for an upcoming route DLC. The Modern era part came from Dovetail's roadmap, regarding an unannounced "UK Route" - which a month later turned out to be Glossop Line. The JT Route is known to be a Diesel route between 1951 and 1990. No leaks were false, only what you believed in your head. And, again, this has all been discussed in the full JT Route discussion thread - no point in making more for the exact same topic.
Everyone else thought for an overhead route in the UK mostly thought that it was going to be Preston to Blackpool. And the Leak was still on the look out seem as if it was a 319 or a 331 that will need to be the 2011+ era seem as the north fylde line wasn’t electrified until 2018. People were set up showing videos before it was about to be announced.
That's an assumption, the leak wasn't false - PresBlkpool was very much there and probably still is. It could be cancelled, but it was never going to be the UK Route that turned out to be Glossop Line. Just because people thought it was, doesn't mean it was.
I was thinking about so much uk DLC that is coming and has come to tsw3 as a real leak like the Birmingham Cross city and Thameslink class 700.
Trainsimplayer is correct, the leak wasn't false, people just assumed it was something that it wasn't.
