Forgive a stupid question but the loco brake seems to always show a minimum of 20% even after releasing the pressure to zero, it returns to 20% once the handle is released. Is this a bug?
Also, is there a instruction for operating the GP35? Other than the explanation of which switch or handle does what.
    Thanks.

Many locos have a bail-off feature - allowing you to release its brakes even while the train brakes are on.
    That's what 0% represents.
Has a few uses, generally allows you to apply power while train brakes are (still) on to stretch your consist or start earlier.
Can't say to see a lot of actual use cases for it as it doesn't apply to the DPU. So really just shunting with brakes on, but a bit less.

Its quite regularly used in Australian locos to stretch the train as you stop. Makes it easier and less stressful for the couplings as you start as the train isn't going to jolt as each coupler decompresses.
