I think it has been brought up with regard to individual locos, but my point is more of a general nature. DTG and others have come up with a large variety of (mostly very nice) German locos. I think that the game could still add some layers for those who own the respective DLCs. Since DTG has some great timetable experts, it would be nice to have some German stuff as lively and diverse as BML or SEHS, for example. Some things that immediately come to my mind would be the following: ICE 1 BR 401 layers on HRR, RRO, MSB (playable) and on SKA, HHL, RSN (AI at Cologne, Hamburg, Hagen) ICE 3 BR 403 layers on HRR, RRO, MSB (playable) and on SKA, HHL, RSN, BRO (AI at Cologne, Hamburg, Hagen, Bremen) ICE 3 BR 406 layers on HRR (playable, ICE International Frankfurt-Amsterdam) BR 101 layers on RRO, MSB (playable) and (more) on SKA, HHL, RSN (AI at Cologne, Hamburg, Hagen) BR 612 layers on RRO and RSN (AI at Hagen) With some more work/adaptation, the following would be possible: Equip Class 66 with PZB and layer it on German routes Remodel existing Dostos and DB BR 146 and 187 to IC2 sets with BR 146 and BR 147 and layer it on German routes Remodel existing TGV Duplex into Thalys PBKA and layer it on SKA and HRR (this is probably the most extensive modification required) I think that would be a nice opportunity to consolidate a little bit, refresh the existing routes and sell loco DLCs (I would be a day 1 buyer). What do you think?
Excellent idea overall however you do have problems First one you need 15kv 16.7hz AC TGV Euroduplex & TGV Duplex Thalys PBKA because they run on the following routes HMA Bahnstrecke Witten Dortmund-Oberhausen/Duisburg Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr and Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen DC pantograph 1.95m Metalized Carbon must be set up for 15kv 16.7hz. Second one is that 406 runs AI at Duisburg Hbf because it is the starting point of Hollandstrecke Duisburg Oberhausen-Arnhem. Lastly Should be playable on Ruhr Sieg Nord IC34 Norddeich Mole Münster Finnentrop Siegen Frankfurt am Main Hbf IC2220/2221
That would be amazing. Forgot the TGV services in Southern Germany. Speaking of HMA, a BR101 layer would of course also be nice.
Thalys would need a license. There really is only 1 timetable god and that is Joe. I mean he made the sehs and bml timetable. Other developers exist but Joe has done wonders lol. Most of these German routes to have new layers would require a rebuild of the timetable so not an easy task but a great idea.
You may be right. Hard to keep track of everything. I know Joe had some input into creating the timetable but wasn't sure to what extent.
Twoo problem first the tgv PBKA trainset have réseau coaches and second the license Thalys For me a TGV Euroduplex it's better it Can add on HMA,BDR (for test ) there was test in 2022 in ETCS 2 at Leipzig, but maybe it Can add on a expansion of the lgv med
I love the idea of bringing over the Class 66! The cab looks a little different: https://flic.kr/p/9mvhjn
Yeah, especially on the "Ruhr" routes they would definitely belong. If I'm not mistaken, most of the long-haul services are actually ICE and not IC in real life.
