As a lot of us know the 313 has now rather sadly gone out of service and there hasn't been much in the way of recognition for what was a loved little unit amongst rail fans. I personally travelled on them quite a lot and its definitely a favourite in TSW. I wanted to suggest a small 313 gameplay pack or something similar. It wouldn't have to be massive just have a few scenarios or services here and there maybe for BML or ECW. The 313 did receive a fairwell rail tour out of Brighton hauled by 2 units one of which being 313201 in the BR blue livery which would be a nice addition to the game although I know it exists on creators club). I'm not sure of the actual route it took but it would be nice for some creative working maybe on ECW? There may also be potential to add in some ROG 37 movements with the 313 as they have been seen being moved by the 37s up to where they are being scrapped. Not sure exactly of the licensing surrounding the livery but it'd be nice to get a few more unique ones into the game! 313201 in BR Blue livery at Brighton:
Travelled on one once to moorgate and I must admit they aren't bad units and were definitely worked hard, especially near their end of going down to moorgate. Unlike the 717s they had some soul and character, but the 717s are nice units too, though I've not travelled on one yet. This would be a nice little pack actually, good suggestion mate.
Good story and if you look at the current fleet right now the only train to do that is the network rail 313 121 which still has the equipment for 750v DC Third Rail and 25kv 50hz AC. Which makes it suited for cloning if we get the Moorgate NCL route. 717 can be modified from SEH future BML Class 700/0
It's very sad to see the 313s depart as they added variety and a bit of character. Thus, I'd certainly would love to see a West Coastway route come to TSW in the future considering this - along with the already existing East Coastway in TSW - were the two main routes it served. Yeahh I agree, westcoastway would be nice especially as its my home route. Just a little more for the 313 to do would be nice! I did always like the 313s in a funny sort of way! Its a shame to see them go.
It has to do that for a purpose basically a test train for ERTMS/ETCS and is is close to the original purpose a dual voltage train code K dual voltage train rather than Code C DC/Battery electric. Which would make it worthy of preservation . Also on Railforums.uk 313 201 it's heavily modified to fit a pantograph to it since 313/2 DC only but 313/1 dual voltage
