Consider me interested! The route itself looks quite nice and the 323 is a treat to drive based on BCC. Scenery looks good and hopefully layers/static stock will help fill things out.

    Plus 2 new gameplay features:

Guard scenario- doesn't excite me personally, but i'll give it a try at least, and hopefully it can be worked into timetable mode at some point for those who'd like a different experience.

Photo scenario- hopefully this means a full-fledged photo mode is in the works. I've become quite a fan of collecting the photo trophies in ATS, and i feel it's an unobtrusive way to add gameplay, and keeps the devs on their toes a bit with making sure recognizable scenery gets the attention it deserves.

    Also- 10% discount, yay!

Nice to see the rail tours list especially for the 20! Its nice to see DTG give more love to the diesels adding in more rail tours as per community feedback! :)

Although I do wonder what layers are present from West Sommerset, maybe a static 09 similar to BML?

Not sure its a day 1 for me as I don't have cross city and am looking intently at MML post patching but will definitely be keeping an eye out.

The info about the AI layers is too vague. Hope there will be an update in a few days.

Whilst I am very happy this is coming soon, I did notice the lack of OHLE tentioners and pulls systems, the wires seem to just come out of another at a junction which I hope isn't the case for most of the route as you guys put emphasis on this detail in BCC and SEHS.

Doesn't make a difference to me until I can watch the preview stream. I'm not going to pre-order/buy anything until I watch it.

We know it’s a short route but I feel like an effort was made into reaching the wider tsw audience
    • People talk about guard mode on occasion, and here’s a first attempt
    • We see discounted bundles geared towards new players, here’s an albeit small loyalty discount
    • Photo scenario for who love Trainspotting and photography. It’s also a nice introduction to that sort of thing if you haven’t done much of that in the past (maybe you’ll like it)
I do like that it’s a short route, because sometimes I want to run the 323 but I don’t want to run it for an hour on BCC, so this will satisfy that.

On the downside, Manchester Pic is probably going to be quieter than library, but it is what it is.

It is ESSENTIAL with the Glossop reversals that the RL timetable be duplicated, which would provide adequate time for the cab change and setup. Typically in TSW, cab-changes are allotted an absurd 30 seconds where in real life the halt is typically long enough for a bathroom break.

I wasn't going to get the route but with a guard mode that has tempted me from those pictures the route looks good roll on the 27th

[IMG]Thought the 3rd one across was a ScotRail 156 then. Would've been a smart way to tease it if it was. ;)

Still feel this is a bit of a low hanging fruit effort. Why do we need yet another one train, hopelessly short route when the Suggestions forum is full of the sort of routes the player base actually wants to see? Or the current discussions about extending and enhancing existing routes such as GWE or TVL. (And SoS).

I have driven the equivalent of this route in TSC on the Woodhead Blue with the 506 and it's really nothing special. The trip does not take long. We are going to get another major station devoid of all but a handful of trains.

It might be a goer if you could do a complete driver's shift but as we know the current save game is broken, if you start new trip after completing the previous run by remaining in the cab or returning to free roam, the objective data and clock fail to restore.

IMHO should have been a period Woodhead route with Class 76 and Class 506.

The Guard mode is vaguely interesting but my curiosity can wait for a sale, given I don't own BCC and therefore don't qualify for the 10% discount.

Covered in the roadmap, Glossop and Hadfield have a very quick turn around at just 3 minutes each.

This looks impressive, its a shame that its not based on the first Woodhead Route which came out for TS Classic, but all in all this looks good, looking forward to this one a lot.

Will the 323 now feature guard door operation - similar to that now implemented on the 158?

Great to see a loyalty discount DTG, for all those loyal customers who buy most routes. Will definitely buy Glossop on release for my Xbox. Also good to see a discount lasting until 31st July. This is great as I can now invest in the steam sale and have a clear credit card for buying Glossop on Steam for my PC at the end of July. Thank you DTG for a fantastic deal. Exciting route with plenty to enjoy!!!

    Exactly my feeling too.

At less than $30, it ought to be a certainty, but I can't unsee the apparent post- apocalyptic Piccadilly and the rather mundane landscape.

If there were to be some serious layering, it would make it a bit more palatable, but, absent trains other than the 323 ( admittedly a better mousetrap than the usual electric cookie box ), purchasing this route will depend on my mood on 6/27.

For me purchase (at a discounted or full price) hinges on if I will be able to complete journey mode without having to complete that revenue protection scenario checking tickets or the photograph scenario.

I play TSW3 because I want to drive trains, everything else is a distraction.

A little disappointed that the loyalty discount only extends to people who subscribe to PS Plus and not to players that own Birmingham Cross-City, like how it is on Xbox. I assume this is because of restrictions by PlayStation. DTG JD, would it not be possible to lower the price of the game by 10% to allow all PlayStation players to get the discount? I own Birmingham Cross-City but don't subscribe to PS Plus, so really, I'm missing out. If I was on Xbox, I'd qualify.

This looks so nice! Love the unique scenarios and all the layers (all of which will hopefully be on last gen as well?), especially the railtours. The return of the 10% launch discount on PlayStation after about a year of absence is also very much appreciated! I’m excited

Really liking that they are following feedback in regards to layers and Ai.
It seems that any stock that could feasibly be included has been stuffed in and that’s great!
Hopefully future DLC are the same, no more single unit routes with no rolling stock variety.

To what extent will the AI only Crewe/Stoke/Manchester Airport services be represented? I didn't think the Class 323 fleet was big enough to represent all of these, as IRL some services would be operated by the Class 319/331.

Either the unit numbers are duplicated, the route is set slightly in the future when WMR are due to hand additional 323s over to Northern, or the timetable is reduced in frequency for these services. Hopefully either of the former two, as the last few UK routes have lacked AI that could have been added with stock already available to make the big termini stations slightly more busy.

Otherwise a nice little route for a good price, looking forward to this one :)

I guess i'll raise my hand and say this member of the player base wants a route like this:

It's a complete route that hopefully will include the full timetable. I like routes that include all termini and that you can run back and forth without disruption.

The 323 is a great train to drive, and is well-modeled, so i'm excited to have another route to drive it on. Plus a new TOC for the game.

I really like urban>suburban>exurban commuter routes- they provide a nice variety of scenery over a reasonable distance. 30-45 min is usually the most i get to play at one time, and as we know the save system is inconsistent....to be charitable.

I have no nostaligia for the earlier periods (not to say i don't like that era- TVL is one of my faves), so i'm not comparing it to previous versions.

Anyway, those are some reasons i like it. Not trying to chamge your mind, just maybe it's not as unwanted as you might think.

The 331s are based around Leeds. For years though 323s were common on the Crewe services, last time I was at Crewe though they shared with the 319

Manchester Picc-Crewe/Stoke/Manchester Airport are all 323’s/331’s these days. Nothing wrong with plenty of 323’s as AI there, there’s 11 diagrams for 323’s and all 11 pass through Piccadilly.

    Alderley Edge services are 331’s.

I can’t wait for this route, not much excitement admittedly at first, but from Hattersley onwards it really comes into own this route.

Hattersley having one of the longest platforms for some reason on the route!

Dinting Viaduct is just  and the Dinting triangle has always fascinated me with it being possible to go round the triangle in every direction!

3 services are booked direct from Dinting to Hadfield.

Are steam locos even allowed over Dinting viaduct? Id have thought they'd be far too heavy? Or is it yet another make believe layer forced on us?

Just curious, does the 10% discount on Xbox stack with the pre-existing 10% Game Pass discount or not?
