Hey, Anybody have any idea where these reskins can be located once installed? I'm trying to create a scenario with a GWR Class 800, I've made sure that the DTG Class801Pack01 and AP C800EP boxes are ticked, but the only consists that show up are the two plain white versions, i.e. the 9-Car Set and the reversed version. Any ideas?! Thanks in advance!
If you look in \railworks\Assets\DTG\Class801Pack01\RailVehicles\Electric\Class801 you will see the folders for each type The AP versions all have _AP as part of the folder name You don't need the AP C800EP box ticking, just DTG Class801Pack01
You will not see the preload consists if you do not tick the C800EP box. It works for me. Soggy, try clearing the cache.
Thanks guys, alas I am now more confused - I've had a browse through the various drive modes (QD, career etc) and can't see any evidence of the AP 800EP whatsoever. Again, the only vehicles that fall under the 800 banner are the two plain white versions, with no other liveries, and have confirmed that there is no separate entity (i.e. 'AP') either. I'm confused because I've just 'installed' the enhancement pack to a blank folder and managed to trace every folder and every filename to the correct locations within the Railworks folder, but nothing... Have tried clearing the cache, so now out of ideas!
Hmm. Ok, it won't hurt to reinstall the EP (to the correct RailWorks location, installing to blank folder then copying will not work because the script that extracts the GeoPcDx files and copies them needs the default 801 installed). Also make sure the 801 is correctly installed (DTG\Class801Pack01\Class801PackAssets.ap) - If you happened to follow someone's ill advice to unpack .ap's, the AP installer will not work correctly. Delete RailWorks\Content\SDBCache.bin, this could also do the trick.
I've just tried reinstalling, but have identical results. Just a point to note - the installation instructions refer to the extracted file's', and to 'locate' the .exe, insinuating there are more than one file in the initial download. When I extract it, there is only the .exe file, but it runs and installs to the directory (which I've double checked is the right one!) correctly. I'm thoroughly confused now - I've installed lots of third party DLC and this is the first time I've experienced a problem like this...
For future reference ALL ap products have a section in the manual about using the AP content in the editor and will show you where to find what and select what.
When I downloaded it I was just downloading the free livery patch and didn't smell a rat because I know sometimes these things end up becoming freeware after 'x' amount of years! Hey, hopefully somebody will be helped by this!
Sorry but that does not apply to everyone When I created my free roam I was able to load pre-load consists without selecting the C800EP box Not sure why you would need to? When you select a train in Quick Drive it appears without selecting any asset box.
Not sure what you mean about the Quick Drive point - I didn't tick the Mittenwaldbahn either but I still get the OBB 2016 in my list. For reference, I do need to tick C800EP to get the AP 800s in the scenario editor. This also applies to every other AP pack I have installed bar reskins included in sound packs.
Quick Drive scans all Assets\<Provider>\<Product>\PreLoad folders available, so it's always visible. But for scenario creation, the PreLoads are located in AP\C800EP\PreLoad. Not sure why you can see them only selecting the DTG 801... I am talking about the full consist preloads, not single vehicles here. The vehicles will be shown because their engine blueprints are in DTG\Class801Pack, but to select the full consists, the C800EP needs to be active. That should clear it up, or have you copied the C800EP preloads folder to the DTG 801, Peter? Puzzled, torf
I think I confused myself as there was an LNER consist and a TPE consist but when I have looked further all the other Class 801 pre-Load are for GWR units with a total of 37 consists - the AP folder has 56 consists including those not in the DTG folder. My mistake - Sorry Torf. Peter
