Went over it in April, Class 633 units were in charge on most trains.

I remember from the LGV stream that you said that SNCF helped with the TGV with a lot of effort. I hope, that in future another french route might come, judging by the accessebility granted through SNCF. The TGV POS really would be a great addition, either as loco DLC or as part of a new route :)

UK-wise, maybe something Welsh as we haven't had much from that region (actually anything at all?). Perhaps a South Wales Coastal?

Anyway, most impressed that there hasn't been any leak at all. Must have a well trained workforce.
Same goes for JT as well.

I hadn’t. I only got ECML a couple of weeks ago and it makes me smile every time I pass through it. YouTube still recommends your old streams daily.

Talyllyn would be awesome though. Just saying ;-)

What ever the routes are DTG has the licenses for the operators. As we know has been mentioned several times that is very unlikely DTG will do unbranded trains. So that will narrow down some.

This is very convincing, particularly given the 'next stop BaWu' signs that were found on Niddertalbahn which would fit with this area (Bregenz is just over the Austrian border from Baden-Wuerttemberg state).

OMG Matt if only. Would accept all that.

Love your Australian and Indian suggestions, but would prefer Festiniog to offer more playability for a Narrow Gauge route or if you didn’t add a Narrow Gauge, the Severn Valley would be a lovely UK route, gorgeous scenery and lovely stations.

    My guesses, rather than wishes:
UK | Liverpool - Manchester (via Warrington)
    Class 195, 185 + 158 layer

    Germany | Hamburg - Hannover
ICE-fest + all the other stuff

US | NEC: New York - New Haven

    UK | WCML South
    DE | Hamburg - Hannover
    US | Don't Care
    +
FR | Paris - Lille LGV

Looking at the Builder plate of the diesel multiple unit it should say Pesa Bromberg because German speakers cannot pronounce the Polish name correctly therefore the manufacturer would simply be referred to Pesa Bromberg. Need a route for it Niddertalbahn Bad Vilbel Glauburg-Stockheim modern with Rhein-Main Verkehrsverbund decals. which is familiar to a train Sim classic owner who has S-Bahn Rhein-Main Friedberg.

Those are good routes. I do wonder NEC NY- New haven... that's a long route with lots of stations (37), 73 miles . .... That would be great. Not sure if Amtrak would be playable as I would think they would have to include Penn station for a complete run.......

Depends on how much scenery they want to reuse from NEC:New York/NYT and the Harlem line, at least stock is mostly accounted for (ACS-64,Acela, Metro Norths stock.) So the only real new stock needed are M8s and/or P32AC-DMs with Shoreliners. Also the return of Oak Point yard for CSX.

When I'm thinking Big Three it has to be:

    - Orient Express (London - Istanbul) (with bonus whodunnit crime mystery)
    - Trans-Siberian Railway
    - The Canadian (Toronto - Vancouver)

Or they could just do NY Penn - New Haven and have the M8 playable between New Rochelle and New Haven.

The lack of a MARC license would probably kill the chance of that area of the NEC ever coming to TSW.

My guess is 2 new routes and another extension TOD4 updated route.

The UK route something that the Class 700/0 will run on.

US route I'm hoping passenger. A new NJT, LIRR, Metro North, or MBTA route would be nice. If freight then Tehachapi Pass, or Kicking Horse Pass in Canada.

And the German route Dresden Reisa extended to Purna and Leipzig. Or perhaps S2 to the airport and Lepzig.

Nope, Niddertalbahn is run with class 642 DMUs. The 633 runs on the Dreieichbahn, Frankfurt -- Dreieich-Buchschlag -- Rödermark-Ober-Roden -- Dieburg.

A 642 would be a really nice addition to the game though, if only to fill up the timetable between Dresden Hbf and Dresden Neustadt even further.

So for me my guess(es) would be for UK

WCML South (to Brum) current day
ECML Newcastle - York (including Tees Valley AI extension) set in early 1980's

Brand new Paddington - Oxford via Didcot (mainly as I want to scream a HST or 800 over the viaduct at Reading lol plus other reasons.

    Eastleigh - Poole with 444s / 450

    German

Anything I like most German routes.

    US

Oakville extension (what it could happen, look at SEHS!!)

All new Electric Penn Corridor with added extension to the few stations they issued off from the original route.

    Tehachapi loop

    Regards
    Hentis

Doubt it, I don't think DTG has a GO license so extending it would be pointless for freight only. The Baby Bullet layer is an exception to the license rule.

Why would DTG add a route that hasn't even ran a revenue train yet? Caltrain is still testing their systems and still hasnt put the KRISS Vectors in service yet.

Meh, only main problem is the single track routing and close proximity to Cajon Pass. And would DTG make playable layers for BNSF traffic on the route (If set in Modern times)?
(Not to mention I would nit pick the route to death since its the closest route to me.)

I don’t see it as being Tehachapi. As stated too close to Cajon, unless the plan is to merge the two at some point a la Run 8. And of course if you own Run 8 as I’m sure many of us PC users do anyway, then other than nicer graphics their version of Tehachapi with the added Arvin, Buttonwillow and Oak Creek branches would take some beating.

Oh this is all based on assumption but they have got to be working on something big. The last in house UK release was PFR a couple of months ago, Glossop hardly counts more of a short sketch done by the intern. The Rhine route for Germany precedes PFR as does NYT. It would be surprising in deed if there is not some sort of big summer release (bear in mind we are technically still in Spring for another 4 days), just that the PR lead in seems much shorter these days.

Considering you have Matt and JD themselves joining in this thread I would say it is basically confirmed. Would you add to the hype like this and then tell people it wont happen? An interesting marketing strategy indeed.

Also, don't they tend to be clear about what is not coming like during the streams when people ask questions is x going to be included in a route?

How about, for the US, the Hudson Valley Water Level Route? So-so with Amtrak, better as a vintage New York Central route, back when it was four-tracked and they were running F9s or streamlined Hudsons.

    LOL Matt !

Good luck with getting the license for DHR / IR :D

    My guess would be -

    US - NYC Subway / Chicago 'L' ( any line )
    UK - Piccadilly Line
DE - Heart of Berlin / Frankfurt U-Bahn

I dont think DTG will drop a Big Summer Release. But if so...

    Me as a German:

    --UK--
All is very Welcome to me, so i'm most hyped for UK Content.

    --Germany--
I dont have any Suggestions for German Content. Its always the same.

    --US--
"Stevens Pass" for TSW would be really cool to me. Since i dont spent too much time with US Content... but if i can Haul these Boeing 737 Fuselages through the Mountains, i would spend more Time with this US Route.

Thank you for telling me about that however they need different transport tariffs Association decals Dresden Verkehrsverbund Oberelbe Niddertalbahn Rhein Main Verkehrsverbund the RMV logo is familiar to TSC owners since it has the electrified section of Niddertalbahn Frankfurt am Main Hbf Bad Vilbel.

I always used to fancy the Orient Express from London but can't really see DTG doing it justice but then I do remember seeing something they are getting rid of the London leg of the Orient Express, could be wrong.

The Orient Express ran from Paris to Constantinople from 1889 to 1977, although from 1945 to 1962 the train itself only ran as far as Belgrade, with transfers required to Istanbul. Between 1977 and 1991 it terminated at Bucharest, and thereafter Budapest; in 2001 it was shortened again to Vienna; in 2007 the origin was moved from Paris to Strasbourg, and this very truncated train still used the "Orient Express" name but used ordinary SNCF rolling stock. It all ended in 2009.

Beginning in 1930 sleeper cars originating in Calais were attached to the Arlberg Orient Express train in Paris; Britons could buy tickets "from London" but those involved a Southern train to Folkestone (in 1st class, naturally), and then the ferry; or, alternatively, from 1936-1939 a CIWL train using the night rail ferry to Gare du Nord (where passengers transferred to the OE). But there was never a time when one could board a train at Victoria and ride it all the way to Turkey. The idea that the OE originated in London is due (a) to Agatha Christie, who fudged reality, and (b) the "heritage" Simplon Orient Express which started in the 1980s with vintage carriages (mostly refurbed British Pullmans), and still runs today for awesome amounts of money.

Another great idea - that’s my local route Add in the Swindon - Gloucester and Gloucester - Bristol legs to complete the triangle, that’d be brilliant fun. Could add the Diesel Legends Western into the mix for some old school thrashes too…

At the risk of being labelled a spammer, one last post for now… I’d LOVE to see an old AC electric in TSW. Probably my favourite route in TSC is WCML Over Shap - I’d absolutely love to see it brought to TSW! I’d settle for an 86 or 87, but a good bouncy 83 would be the icing on the cake.

Throw an 84 in there and there’d be plenty of scope for a scenario to have it rescued by a 40 or 47 :)

For the UK at least, I don't think it will be backdated (we've had Peak Forest already this year and Just Trains' upcoming route will be historic). It's unlikely to be a secondary commuter route (we've had Cross-City and Glossop two in a row) or anything southern region (unless it was some sort of BML-ECW mega merge).

ECML South seems feasible now we have the Class 387 and Class 700, requiring a Class 801 at minimum to bulk out a suitable timetable. Even MML South could happen (with possibly the Class 222) but that to me has less appeal compared to the ECML, especially as we've just got a MML section for Skyhook to represent that main line in-game.

WCML South would be fantastic but that simply seems like too big a project right now, as so many new things would need to be built for one route DLC. Other sections such as the Trent Valley or Shap Summit could happen but for the most part they do not include any end-to-end services and again would require multiple pieces of new stock to flesh out a semi-decent timetable.

Or there's a wildcard option of getting another diesel route, personally I'm hoping such would contain a Class 170 Turbostar on a route like Edinburgh to Dundee/Fife Circle or the Harrogate Loop. Then again DTG have been sort of unpredictable lately, announcing routes like Peak Forest and Glossop which I'd imagine very few people guessed correctly.

If an ECML south does come, I hope DTG add at least one branch, whether it is to Kings Lynn, The Moorgate Branch or the Hertford loop

Im wondering if we are going to see the repeat of 2 new routes and an extension like we saw with the launch of TSW3. I'd hope the extension wouldnt be another UK route and it would be rotated.

If an extension is on the cards which route from Germany or USA would you like to see? For me I'd love to get an extension to Harlem or LIRR. If it was Germany then SKA to Frankfurt on the high speed line or better still DRA to Leipzig.
