Just notice the M7 trains on LIRR and on Hudson line no displaying on train but lights show on when in cab view. Did something change recently.
Either you've been playing about with your settings (we all do it from time to time lol) or they got reset somehow when the game last updated. Anyway you need to tick "Headlight Flares" in the Advanced options of the Settings
Yea that was it. I recently had to replaced my drive so I had to reload everything. That was it. Thank you
Bad design that is. This function is being abused here, only meant to display lens flares. Correct implementation of a LensFlare_nm.TgPcDx
torfmeister I do not agree that it was mentioned for lens flares only. Name of that option says it clear - "Headlight Flares". Now when I open BPE, take one of my headlight blueprints for some loco, for example class163, and rollout HeadlightFlareComponent section, I see this: (section is empty in this case as this blueprint is only activating light cone) So this game option is deactivating not only Lens Flare, but also classic light Flare, if used. And so it does - disabling ALL flares. Btw, flares are much less responsible for fps drop than casted shadows. Just for clarification
As this is an issue with more than the M7 stock, continue to discuss the Flare matter on this thread where I've answered to your post https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/headlight-flares-and-bad-loco-design.71098/ Also, you can even move the camera far away and out of sight of the M7, still the FPS are low. So it is the script, yes.
