Sehs Is Broken After 20th June 2023 Patch

Hello folks after the June 2023 Patch for Southeastern High Speed no services work all it does is spawn u on the station platform and no train the game is broken and unplayable i even have had people say that NEC NY - Trenton is having the same issue Someone ASAP at dovetail needs to get a Patch out to fix this issue i am playing on PC Steam well was playing and now cant even do my normal Wednesday Livestream if anyone is having this issue speak up so they know also after verifying the files same issue nothing has worked even try redownloading the game nothing works to fix the issue

 

I'm having the same issue but not with every service- maybe happened twice out of six service starts? Worth noting there doesn't appear to be a relationship between where the service starts and where you appear on foot, and ctrl+0 doesn't work. I'm on PC Epic. I'm gonna do some more playing around and see what I can find out.

 

So! I tried services 1D42, 1N40, 1S24, 5J48, 1J22 and 1J93 which all worked properly.
5G20, 1P24, and 1L17 all spawned on foot at random, unrelated locations. Upon hitting restart on service 1P24 it changed which random station I spawned at but still didn't work. All set to 21st June, dynamic weather clear.

Then I tried 5G20 again, still didn't work, but I watched on the 2D map as miles away my train completed the whole scenario without me! When it finished it even gave me XP and a bronze medal! (Only bronze? try harder, AI, geez.)

Anyway, hope that's of some help to somebody.

(As an aside before trying this I completed two of the new Class 33 services with no problems.)

 

Having a similar problem but thought it was me doing something wrong. Will explore further. PC

Inititally this morning could get no SEHS services at all from the menu. Then did Scenario Hoo Dares Wins. Then was able to access Timetable services. Jubilee run spawned on foot to random station as did 1P24 with 375. 1099 with class 45 worked.

 

it turns out that if u have the Londonmidland's SEHS Mod installed it makes u spawn on foot so uninstall the mod and it all works fine spawn all services work just fort ill update u all on this if u have it installed like i did

 

Thank you. It will be very sad to have to remove that Mod and I hope the authors can fix it. Will probably avoid SEHS until matter resolved.

 

I'm on Xbox Series X and no mods installed. Since yesterday every single 375 service starts on foot at a random station.

The LondonMidland SEHS PC mod has nothing to do with it. I have the same bug without mods on the 1Z34 Class 33 Railtour.

So I have zero mods, no creators club of anything and I’m having the same issues on Xbox X and PC steam. I did a restart of the service 1G95 and instead launched me at hoo junction.

 

Thanks for confirming. On an unrelated note, I plan on updating this mod in due course to add and improve some more stuff.

 

I noticed yesterday if you restart a service it will spawn you at a Spurious location. I was supposed to start a service at Gillingham. forgot to pause the game when I made a phone call and then decided to restart the game as I was on the phone for around 10 minutes. I restarted the service (unsure what one) and it spawned me in Ebbsfleet International....lol
Just a thought guys. If you are on PC or using a keyboard with your console try pressing CTRL + 0 to see if it spawns you back into the cab.

Am also on Xbox series X. I can't get the 33 to move anywhere. Have redone the training which is fine, but whichever service I try it will not move. Any ideas ?

 

Please Note: The Medway Valley Crompton railtour has one caveat in order to be correctly drivable; you must briefly go into the lead cab of the rear locomotive and toggle the brakes from Shutdown, into Full Service, and back into Shutdown. This will allow for a proper release of the brakes and without this, you will not be able to move the train.

oh dear, hope it gets a patch quickly. Honestly one reason why I sometimes fear updates for TSW3. Always seem to cause issues : ((

 

This isn’t mod related as I have the same issue on XBox X. It’s something to do with the Class 33 services (which work fine). I found that when I selected the 375 service 5L17 I was spawned on foot firstly at Ashford and then after a restart at Swanscombe. Interestingly the service selection screen for 5L17 described it as “ECS service from Dartford to Faversham” which would have been the Class 33 route description (pic attached). If I select the following service 1S24 which is Victoria to Ramsgate, it is described correctly and works as it should do.

 

Have to wonder what happened with testing (again). I had no issues starting the first railtour scenario yesterday bit not tried a normal run. I have minimal mods installed anyway and no route specific ones for SEHS.

 

1. Also just spotted a SEH player spawn problem on class 375 5L17 Slade Green depot to Ramsgate depot. Meant to start at Dartford but player spawns randomly elsewhere. No mods
2. Randomly picked class 375 1G95 also, same problem

 

All is fine on Xbox series X, all services I’ve tried have spawned me into the correct loco and units

 

Have you driven a Class 33 service yet? I’m thinking it’s related to adding those services (I’m also on Xbox X and have the problem)

 

Is not all services. I thought the same when I tried numerous services and were good until I hit some that weren’t.Not sure if is random services or specific one. 1G95 on Xbox X spawned me outside I tried to restart service and it started me at hoo junction

Ah- 5L17, sorry! It’s the 10:13 375 service.

 

Ctrl 0 only works if you're spawned in the driving cab seat. If you spawn anywhere outside the cab, it won't do anything

 

Is there a way to remove patches on PS5? SEHS is one of my favorite routes. It is unplayable now.

 

It wouldn't be a tsw update without something breaking. Pretty normal

 

Am I the only one ? I’m experiencing some framerate drops on various locations it’s not specific and it’s worse when I pass an incoming train on the opposite track… SEHS is one of my favorite route but this patch kinda messed it up. I’m on PS5 btw

 

I was on 395 doing 10:37 dep from London and pis display inside said this a service for not in service lol but it still displayed calling points at least

 

Sounds to me like this patch needs to be rolled back. Another thread reporting Bakerloo Line also has issues since it dropped.

 

I don't quite understand the need to release the update BEFORE the class 700 launches- adding the railtours was cool, don't get me wrong, but seems like it all should have been tested together and released at the same.

Unless it's somehow also coming next week??

How deafening is DTG's silence when compared to SHG

 

I had the same issues on PS5 with some of the services mentioned in this thread. It appears to not affect all services though.

 

mml skyhook feedback thread has 46 pages. 2356 replies and counting. Lots of is filler but still at least they communicate. Something DTG should work on getting better

 

SHG were also honourable enough to admit they had fudged things up a bit. Would be nice to hear that from DTG. Anyhow about to jump into a random scenario and see what horrors await me.

 

They only thing we got so far was from JD saying they are still investigating ,devs having not been able to to duplicate which is odd. I noticed those issues within then minutes on both Xbox X and PC steam. They most not have the same build we all got.

 

It does feel like dtg are digging themselves into a hole somewhat. I know they said nothings changed since the takeover but as people have pointed out the interaction on the forums and the stream schedule feels like its at a massive low?

I was hoping with SHG and Janes fantastic work on MML that dtg would follow suite but it seems like they're running the opposite way a little.

 

Someone also said that Bakerloo is totally unplayable since the June 20th patch. I have not tried Bakerloo yet.

 

Just tried to start a class 375 service from Faversham going west, it was around 10:00 but I can't remember the exact service. I spawned in Greenhithe. I did have a nice ride on the class 465 waiting in the platform, whilst all the time the AI was driving my train. I probably would have got the points if I hadn't exited!

 

I’m surprised they haven’t been able to duplicate our issues. They must be on a different built than the one we l got

 

I don't seem to be getting this issues and I have mods installed on my game (PC Steam), what are people doing in order to get this to happen? I've been able to pick services from the timetable and get spawned in the train with no issues or is it only if you restart a service from the pause menu?

EDIT: Ok I take that back, I tried 1G95 and got spawned on foot at Rainham, restarted the service, spawned on foot again at Greenwathie, restarted for a 3rd time and spawned on foot at Faversham... I have a feeling that this is to do with the new Class 700 services being added and the game can't find the train to spawn the player into and dumps you on foot in some random location even with the timetable working still. Hopefully this'll get fixed (before) the 700 releases...

 

Ok so I tried the following services all on the 375 for both XBox X and PC steam. They both have the exact issues on the same services. I tried 12 and only 4 spawned in the cab.
Failed services 1G95,2K08,1S16,1p14,1s18,1p22,1s22,1p24
Good services 2k64,1p18,1p20,1s24
Layers don’t seem to matter as I have different for both and they both failed the same services
So the below layers are on PC steam
The below layers are on Xbox X

 

thank you JD For the update but who is testing the builds before they go out come on this stuff has gone on for way to long now and we are all fed up with the luck of pure quality we got 2 great releases coming please do not screw them up

 

It happens on PS5, build: 1021, not for all services for a particular type of train on SEHS (TSW3 version 1.044.000)
I have reproduce it on:

• Class 375 - service 1S38;
• Class 66 - service 6V92 (Part 1).

Anyone knows if there is any thread in Technical Reports following this issue?
I have checked quickly, but haven't found one.

 

I tried the first of the steam engine runs last night. It spawned me at Rainham with the notif to open the doors (which I got the 500xp for) it changed to stop at Faversham 13miles so I checked the map and watched as the train I was supposed to be driving travelled the line towards me. I then watched it speed past me on the platform and stood and waited for it to reach Faversham where it went through unloading the passengers! Overall the easiest 1500xp I've ever earned so I tried to see if it was a fluke and this time it happened again except it spawned me at Sittingbourne. Same again, 1500 points for standing on a platform watching the world go by!
EDIT: forgot to mention I'm on Series S

 

you would have earned the easiest 1500xp ever while riding as a passenger. I had the same happen with 1S99. 1st time it spawned me at Rainham, 2nd time at Sittingbourne and the third time ( tried it again after clearing my consoles cache and It spawned me at Newington. I wish there'd been a train at one of those stations when I spawned in so I could ride as a passenger for a change

 

If you are on PC and using steam version then you can roll back that SEHS update
1) run command: steam://open/console (it will add console menu into your steam)
2) in console you type: download_depot 1944790 1998964 2524621217805680319
3) you will find that file in Steam\Steamapps\Content, just copy that .pak over the one in DLC folder and you will have back your working version until DTG fix that mess
