I guess after Glossop line is released we might get some hints dropped.... Something big is in the offing.... I hope ROFL Paris to Rennes TGV... (give us a race car in Le Mans for a novelty LOL) Sydney (Australia) Parramatta urban route Japan Odakyu Line * Western Lines of Scotland * Black Forrest route or that area in SW Germany? * my ideas but others are from hints and tips....
I’m not hearing/seeing too much in terms of a new route. I can only speculate a London Bridge extension to LBN with the Class 700 DLC but even that looks far fetched, down to DTG to see what comes out. Although I have a feeling the next route is from the US, unsure whether it’s freight or passenger though.
Glossop was a filla route for whatever is coming in the next few months. Just in the same way Cathcart circle was before rush hour was announced. I honestly don’t believe it’s got anything to do with the reasons they have said. It’s short and they have just reused a train they already have to save making a new one. (Anyone else would have surely done a 319 for this as well as the 323). Roadmap is also unusually empty, So yes, There is definitely something big coming this summer, as always.
How have you come to the conclusion these have been hinted at? I think a route which has been hinted at/leaked is Preston to Blackpool but I haven't seen any other hints/leaks.
Already started this thread in similar vein - now 6 pages... https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/summer-big-three-sweepstake.70820/unread Not sure why we needed another one.
A few people have mentioned things on forums and facebook. Preston to Blackpool a Just Trains route? I saw comments it was possibly the Wherry Lines or near Norwich? (I am hoping for GEML Ipswich 2013 as in TSC) Or the Preston to Blackpool is a full DTG route?
Nothing confirmed No leaks Your route suggestions haven’t been hinted at all Lets act like they’re going to happen anyway
Yes but I have mentioned the ECML from Peterborough to York in the 70s on the forum, or the East Lincolnshire line, but it doesn't mean they are going to come to the game. Preston to Blackpool seems to be the JT route as it has also been hinted that theirs will include a Pacer which rules out the Wherry Lines.
I'm trying to think positively, but what could be remotely interesting about a route from Preston to Blackpool? Just another placeholder while we're waiting for the big event? Why not Scunthorpe to Grimsby? We've had it seems like a never-ending succession of rather dull one boxy train, A to B routes from DTG and partners ( excepting MML ). Whatever happened to the creativity and imagination of the early years of TSW. Apologies for the pessimism. After all, I have probably years of gameplay in my TSW and TSC libraries. But, like many here, I crave the new, I focus on the horizon. And I see nothing fresh there. I feel like the only thing worth getting excited about is the resuscitated NYT and who knows when that will appear. If there's something happening this Summer, tell us about it now before we all fall asleep from boredom.
The fact it is hopefully going to be a BR blue route is a good start, also the timetable should be interesting and varied as well. I don't know what it's got scenery wise as my seaside town is Skeggie so I've never been to Blackpool. Again providing it is the JT route the mileage hints seem to point towards more than just Preston to Blackpool. Also, I just remembered that the line splits in two to go to either Blackpool north or south stations too.
Strangely enough for an American, I have a distant memory of Blackpool: lights, trams and towers and the sea, of course. And great fish 'n chips on the Promenade. ( You Brits have no idea how rare that delectable cuisine is in the US ). And I have the Tram route from TSC, or was it MSTS? Why not do that? Vastly more fun than a drive through exurban Lancashire, unless it comes with a beefy diesel loco and a 1st gen dmu.
I should go to Blackpool really but I just don't think it would beat Skeggie. Anyhow I would much rather drive some proper BR diesels through Lancs than go up and down a seafront on a tram anyday. I think if this route was modern (assuming it is the backdated JT route) I would take the trams, but we haven't had a BR blue route proper since TSW 2020, so I think that has got to be it's biggest selling point. Saying that if we got the BR diesels and trams I wouldn't argue either!
I did it for both though the MSTS got a wonderful enhancement by some fellow members at UKTS. Would be so nice to get a period Blackpool Tramway in TSW, when traditional trams and trolley poles were still the order of the day.
Thats got to be about 50 miles not including the south branch. I mean I would be more than happy with a 50 mile run in a BR diesel but no having the south branch may hinder game play slightly. Hopefully we'll find out more once Glossop is out the door.
So, if it is Blackpool, will it be set in BR diesel era or is that just “wishful thinking” on my part.
If Blackpool to Preston is JT's route it will be BR blue. No matter what we are eventually going to have another BR blue route in game within the next few months as JT's route has been confirmed to be BR blue, so whatever route they do it will be a BR blue one. I think it will be a mid 80s route from the hints so far.
DTG have never create a Dutch route for TSC also so do not expect this for a longer time.... It's not a market for DTG to create Dutch routes. I love to see but it won't happen!
Create a Dutch Rail group, crowdfund, and pay some 3d developers to create your stations and trains. DTG will help. I guess. Australia is in the same position. But I still manage to enjoy UK, US and European routes. I have some Japanese routes on TSC. I hope they come to TSW3/4/5!!
Niddertalbahn hinted might have hinted Bundesbahndirektion Karlsruhe & Bundesbahndirektion Stuttgart Hauptstrecke Mannheim-Straßburg/Offenburg or Hauptstrecke Stuttgart Ulm.
The next road map may confirm what JTs are working on and there may be an indication of when to expect the ATS route?
For me personally i understand that they didn't create this kind of routes... It's not a market to represent small countries like the Netherlands. I'm very pleased what countries they have sofar. It's always a case of point of interested and financial income. Otherwise licence is the other part of getting a route.
They haven’t informed us of the route. My guess is the rumour about Blackpool-Preston will be theirs but feel it maybe further extended to Manchester or Liverpool, if it is?
Nothing has been confirmed. It could be anything. Preston Blackpool with all the branch lines is also a possibility since that's what the leaks said but it could really be anything
My guess for the Just Trains route would possibly be Chiltern Mainline. However I would love it to be a full copy of their TSC Metropolitan Line. We all may know the JTs route in the July roadmap.
