recently when clicking the workshop tab it says downloading subscriptions. I wait a few but it does not finish downloading. I am not sure how to fix this
Roughly how many subscriptions do you have? Also, how many DLC (proxy for how many scenarios). If you just load up Drive / Career and wait, does it pop, and does it finish? My answers for comparison: about 290 subs, 2-4 routes rest scenarios, 400+ DLC, it shows, although by now it takes ages to, compared to years ago with less content. I never had this hang up, but generally there are two things: Play what you subscribed, then remove. You can use the Favorite feature to keep track. There are / were bugs with the game messing up some workshop files, most visible from a ScenarioProperties.xml containing invalid characters and funny values. Occasionally this breaks the game, normally on startup though. Using some proper file manager, search for recent files and if you find a broken one, delete the full folder (just one), restart the game. If it gets stuck, also unsub and repeat. (You can also just unsub from all and have a clean install, or remove everything workshop, but it's just way too much work.)
I have had this issue when downloading workshop items in game, the best thing to do is subscribe to them outside the game. Then load the game up and you will not have this issue.
Yeah about that, when you play what you subscribed to, the game loads and then freezes. ( only in quick drive)
