Train Sim World 3 A Mode For An Own Circulation Plan

    Before you read this, I speak and can only speak for German trains and routes, so I really have no idea about uk trains as well as routes, the same applies to American routes

    So what I mean exactly is not only from a to b and then end, but from point A to point B and back again So that you take the Hamburg Lübeck route as an example and create your own route plan there For example, how long you go there and back which trains are travelling there and what time which train leaves and arrives Here is an example

    (you Route)
    RB81 Lübeck HBf to Hamburg HBf
    Train BR442
    Time 12:20
    Circulation duration 5H

    KI Trains
    BR182 (Regio)
    BR766 )Regio)
    BR425 (Regio)
    BR110 (Cargo)
    BR185 (Cargo)
    etc.

    So just like the disponent that you can adjust everything, yes, how long ki trains are travelling and that they also follow normal plans that are available on routes

    (The picture is an example that the DB BR 442 Ja can be used on Hamburg Lübeck)

    Starting out your post in all caps doesn't give a good impression. Sounds more aggressive than actually being a suggestion

    I assume the OP is suggesting a full timetable editor? Well it would be nice but DTG couldn’t even give us the promised Scenario Planner 2.0 let alone anything more complex.

    Yes, it's an extreme proposal and well, yes, it's up to DTG, but I think many would prefer this and well, man could do something like that in the scenario edit, which would be practical

    I actually 100% support the idea. As a retired railway controller I used to enjoy creating short term schedules as part of the job and I would relish the logistics of setting up (say) a diesel era timetable on Peak Forest.

    I think the reason this doesn't work at the moment is that trains (especially AI trains) have a driving end and a trailing end, so when you try to turn things around "mid run" you end up with no driver, or the head and tail lights back to front
    With a player train... who cares? That's up to the player, but for AI trains people start complaining. This is why even in the upcoming Glossop line runs the timetable will be in three parts... Out from Manchester, round the triangle then back to Manchester

    I'm sure it's something DTG could solve if they put their minds to it, but it might also require a core rebuild of the dispatcher which might also break any DLC that precedes it.

    Yes, my idea should not only be for German routes, but I don't know anything about other routes, but it would definitely be something else, well, what dtg could do, you have all the possibilities

    Well, I'll say a reason why I had/have this idea is well, the routes we have for Germany are too often not developed, usually 1-4 stations are missing and to somehow compensate for this, I just have this idea that we get our own plans that they just say that the train only goes as an example to where you can go as a player and back again

    I'm not sure we're talking about the same things, but I agree that there should be a lot more possible paths in CC, indeed I don't know why they've done it as they have and it should be more like RTT or similar (ie you get a default path and then you can change the direction at each junction)

    My comment addressed reversing at the end of a route or run rather than pathing specifics
